Hi, I'm new - Is your Yorkie male or female? Hi there I'm new to the forum and have had a look around and some lovely postings. I'm going to look at a Yorkie in a few days time and am wondering do the majority of you have male's or female's. I'm just curious. Rossi |
Carter is a male. |
I have a new baby boy :) |
I have two girls! |
Oh they are so cute and I'm sure they bring you lots of joy. I've heard so many stories really and ones tell me to buy a male, others female. So I'm undecided at present, thanks. |
Amber is a female. |
Hi Rossi - welcome, glad you are taking a liking to Yorkie Talk! :D Hope you stay here and let us know when you adopt your new little one. Schatzie is a little girl. (ok, not too little as she's almost 8 pounds) I will be getting another Yorkie some day, some year and it too will be female. I have her pictured in my mind, she's even named, "Dreamin Valley's Martini". Now, I just need to find her. :D |
Nala is a female, sweet as can be!! |

Welcome, I have a Copernicus " Cappie" (male) Little Goddess Hathor "Hatie" (female) enjoy Yorkietalk is a great place to share and show off your babies:) |
Hi, i have 2 girls Mitzy, nearly 8 mths, and molly 10 weeks. I didnt really mind having boys or girls, they all look cute and the same when they are babies.....its just wondering what there colours will be when they are older. Mitzys mum was quite dark all over, and i think mitzy will go the same way. Molly sometimes looks like she is losing hair on the top of her head, but underneath she is really light, like she has loads of grey hair coming through, so i think she will be really light, and just have the dark coat on her back. They are so different in every way. Tina xx |
I have a 5 1/2 month old little boy named Hercules! |
Mojo is a boy, he is 1yr and 6 months and is absolutly the best and nicest dog ever...i am getting a female soon :D I do think temperament wise males tend to be much nicer, females are far more territorial. |
i have 2 males |
My Sophia is a sweet little girl! You won't regret getting a Yorkie, but they do require lots of attention...easy to give though as they are So sweet! :D |
hey! I have two females... :) Keena and Bella both sisters and 7 months old. :D |
I have a female, Chloe, who is 4 months old and the sweetest thing ever. I definitely prefer a female, as I like dolling her up all girly :p |
Hi..welcome! I have both boy and girls |
My Mia is a 5 lb girl. I'm hoping to add a little boy to our house by mid summer. |
One 7.5 month old girl and looking for another GIRL! |
1 Attachment(s) 1 perfect 9 month old little baby Gracie........... |
Jackson is half the man he used to be. Just got neutered! |
I have one of each. I would be hard to say which I would recommend. They all have such different personalities. My first was a male, Max he lived 17 years, second is Maddie, 2 years and Rudy, 14 months, so I guess the next one will be a female lol. You can't go wrong with either...................Cindy |
I have one each also. and yes it is hard to say which is better. i love them both. they each have their lovely moments. welcome to the circle of friends here. |
i have a male...I absolutely love him. He's very fun and active and has a great personality. |
I have a male, Oscar. He is almost 5 months old. I wanted a female (just a preference I guess) but my breeder only had 4 boys available. I wanted a Yorkie so bad, we got Oscar and I don't regret him for a second. He is a dream baby! I love him so much! I don't think you can go wrong with either one. I know from past house dogs that if you leave a female intact, you have to deal with diapers and such a couple of times a year and with a male you would not have to do that. But that is the only down side I know to having a female. Some say they are easier to train, but I think it has more to do with the individual dog and the trainer. Best of luck with whatever your choice - don't look back! You will wonder how in the world you got along without your Yorkie! Oscar's Mom |
I have two girls: Sandy my Carin/Yorkie mix - and Tia my new 13 week old baby. I had no preference - girls were just the way the dice rolled in my case. |
We have Toto, who is a 19 month old girl! She is 4 lbs. and struggling to lose down to her recommended 3 lb. weight! Guess we love her too much?! :) She has trained her humans well and is spoiled and picky!! :o |
