4 Attachment(s) Ok, I was having trouble putting these pics in my album. So, I'm putting a few pics of Tate here. This is the first nice weather we had had in ages, and the gang just wanted to be outside playing - so there has been NO grooming done for these pics. And, he was due for a two week bath but I didn't want to spoil all the fun. His coat actually looks a lot like your picture of Bailey's. In the 3rd shot, Tate is the one on top (Murphy said he was just letting him win). :p In the 4th shot, Tate in front & Murphy's in the back. |

I agree, Bailey is adorable, and I see nothing wrong with her coat!!! Of course, we love them no matter what!!! Sophie always rolls around right after her bath, I think just to show me!!! LOL! :D |

Tate is adorable, his coat looks nice and thick on the pics!!! What a handsome guy:p |
Bailey is adorable! His hair is like Hot Rod's. I swear he was not a yorkie as his took forever to grow in and it was soooo stringy. It would look like what you think a greasy head of hair looked like stuck together. lol I used to have the groomer trim it straight across so it would at least look like he was brushed. Now his hair is thicker but still slow growing. :) Bailey looks like such a cutie! |
I would trim up the ends---the coat is always the messest when it is transitioning between puppy and big fur baby coat! I trmmed mine and it really helped the transitin! |
Ah! Lillies gets like that too, except most of hers is on her head. Its more adamant now because she has a head of 'white hair' with the tips of it that are still black from her baby hair. She looks like a GREASEBALL! We call her "Lillie the Greaser" :D I give her a bath once a week and after about a day she's back to the old greasy hair look. As long as she doesn't stink, Im ok with the grease. Your little guy melted my heart when I saw him, such a cuttte face! |

Darlene, your little Bailey is exquisite! He is going for that debonaire tossled look that drives the women crazy -- Yorkie women in love crazy, Mommy women just crazy. |
He is so gorgeous the way he is! Lucky does the same thing!! His hair grows slowly as well....and I have gotten comments like "he looks like a nest!" But as long as he is happy...I am happy!! |
Thanks for the encouraging posts everyone, you are all so wonderful :) |
Bailey is adorable! |
Bailey is sooo cute!!! He has such beautiful eyes!!! The scraggly puppy hair happens to all of them. The hard part when you are wanting to grow it out long, is getting through all the puppy mess, lol. Puppy cut or puppy mussy, either way they look adorable :):) |

some problem my little yogi had to get a bath almost every week he would pee on his hair and would some how get his hair all tangled from playing with his doggie friends so i trimmed his hair about 1 inch of it gone so he only has an inch of hair. He now doesnt stink and his hair has not got tangled since. ( but i do love his long hair its so cute and pretty ) |
Help!!!! I am new to this and even though I have mastered Facebook but cannot figure out how to post a new thread to start a discussion on here=can someone help me? I have the same problem with my little yorkie and would LOVE to talk to other people on here going through the same thing...PLEASE help me!!! |
I know EXACTLY how you feel. Maddie is almost 6 months and I brust her about 5 times a day! I am so tempted to cut it because she looks so scruffy and everytime I brush her I think about doing it, but I know I will probably regret it, just like I do with my hair! (I've been trying to grow my out for years but I get so frustrated with the 'at your neck/shoulders stage' I just get it hacked off!) |
