I have a friend who is a photographer. She has some tips on her website if you click on her blog...scroll down to where she has tips for taking your own photos!

All of the yorkies on her site are my babies...there are a couple of my wild child foster, Isabella, who does NOT sit still.....she had a great idea for her. A red backdrop...with my dil holding her. You really cannot tell someone was holding her....it is a great pic of her face!

My Dad is an amazing photographer, when we go over I've watched him.

He gets down on the floor and waits, he is very quiet then he makes a whistle/squeek noise and click! He get's really good photos!

Personally I just get down on the floor and click, click, click, click I love digital!!! Eventually one will work out LOL

Now she's a photographer, her pictures are amazing, and she seems to capture the personality. I really wish I could do that, without a lot of props!

haha, I take a LOT of pictures to get the good ones I do have! Speaking of which, I desperately need to get some more up! I use treats, or just say words that they perk up and listen for...it works quite well for us :)

I love her work! She is so good with dogs...and they love her! My Pippi starts smiling at her immediately...pretty hilarious!

Her tips on her blog are good, but I fail miserably at taking pics.

I do all of the doggie portraits at our studio having a second person really helps but you gotta have yorkie yummies they aren't **************** :) and they work every time. :D

Ok i don't know why it is showing ******* it was supposed to say just for yorkies

Your friends photos are awesome, I love the slideshow she has on her site! She has real talent! I saw the pic with the red backdrop, and you really can't tell somebody is holding her :thumbup:

Yes, she is amazing! She has all the patience in the world and, as I said, my pups love her!

Thank you...all of my kids are rescues.

Pippi loves to dress up and have hrr pictures taken...she will stay in any postion we put her in, including on her back. We have some funny beach pics of her lying on her back. Pippi smiles on command and this one just cracks me up. Her husband said we should caption it, "I'm with smiley". :D

Lol, you picture cracks me up, could sell that to one of the card companies, they could come up with a million sayings that would be appropriate. All I could think of was, "I smell something stinky." :D

Lol, actually I was talking to another YT member and complaining how I couldn't take any good pictures, and we started joking about if I had enough props I could make a cute picture. It was all a joke, but that night all I could think of was how to make a bed for Joey out of a cardboard box, and once I made that, the rest of the props were easy.

My two late yorkies both smiled. Non of the ones that I have now smile.

I might have to steal that idea. Not sure which one of mine would be that cooperative though.

YT should have a Christmas card contest, to see who could be the most creative.

Lol, I think I outdid myself, both on Halloween costumes and Christmas card photos, I mean we were only able to come up with the Christmas card idea because we were thinking about "what a crazy fanatic would do", but this crazy fanatic couldn't let go of the idea.
