Wanna hear strange? Kimbo's favorite thing in the world is to steal my underwear when I disrobe at night. He snatches them in a milisecond and runs like he's in the Kentucky Derby to his bed. Getting them back from him is a fight. a BIG fight. ...you wanted strange...;) |

Jasper has so many. I giggle each time he does them. Here are a few. -when he's laying down at the foot of the bed or on the floor and we are laying or sitting, he will suddenly jump up, and run to one of our chests and throw himslef on his back. Like he forgot we were there and he hasn't had cuddles in a bit. We call it Emergancy Cuddlinx. -when he wants out of my room, he literally knocks. Knocks once, waits. Twice, waits. And on and on till someon let's him out. -if he has his favorite toy Moozer, he does things with it, like its his best friend. Sets it on the edge of his water bowl, same with food. Tucks it under the covers like he tucks himslef. Things like that, I love it. *Btw, we take his Moozer for a few months, then give it to him for a few. This because he gets VERY crazy over it, and I want him to stay sane.* -i have doggy steps by the bed for him. If anything is set on those steps, he will walk up the steps to that step, then stare. If looks could knock things down. Haha. Then he walks down, comes to me, looks back at the steps, and goes "oooouuuff." Hahaha. |
What a great post! Where to begin with Fiona!? She is very vocal these days, I'm not sure if it's because we just moved in with my boyfriend with his 2 cats and dog, but EVERY week day morning, Fiona will just stare at Jeff and start growling at him, letting him know its time to go out, or she will just lay by the dog yipping and yapping! she also will come running out of the room and pounce on the cats, or just become really playful. when we are laying in bed, she has to be right in the curve of your body, she has lots of personality! |

This are just the best, What a lovely little guy !!! What is his Moozer? Is it a soft toy ? |
Presley has a couple of cute ones.. On the weekends when I want to sleep in he will inch closer and closer to my face until we are nose to nose and he will gently stick out his tongue and touch my nose to wake me up. He won't eat a treat unless I'm there. I can give him one in the morning and when I get home it will still be there and then he will eat it. He will also throw his treats around..up in the air and thats when he wants me to try to get it from him. He likes to play a little tug of war with them before he wants to eat it. He also will eat only one piece of dry dog food at a time and he has to come find me before he will chew it. I can be upstairs and he will bring it all the way from the kitchen to the bedroom and then eat it. Now his soft food we give him he doesn't want to eat it till we are standing over him. Once we do that and walk away, he eats it all. My baby is weird. |
Bug Alert Ever since Harley was a puppy (he's 8 now) if he sees a bug on the floor (dead or alive) he will rub his face on the floor next to the bug while making a cooing sound. The sound he makes reminds me of a morning dove.:) |
Here are a few about my Zoey *She loves to sleep in between us,the weird thing is she has her own pillow and she sleeps on her back, like a person. *If Im asleep on my stomach she will jump up and sleep on my back. *She doesnt like gourmet treats, she'd rather have the cheap dollar store kind. |

Oh my goodness Luna does the SAME thing! With any treat I give her she will just drop it over and over and just look at me waiting for me to pick it up, shes such a mess. Also when we go for walks she will like, jump around in a circle in one spot for a few minutes because she is just SO excited she cant contain herself I taught her how to play patty cake (so cute) and now shes taken to the habbit of playing it by herself by laying on her back and clapping her front paws to her back feet lol!! |

What a great thread! I'm still learning Sophie's quirks but here are a few. -When I'm sitting on the couch on my laptop (which sits on a pillow on my lap) she HAS to be under it. She'll either look at me or burrow until she gets under the pillow.:p -She is pad trained and when she poops at night or early in the morning she comes to the bedroom door where we have a baby gate and barks until we come get it with the toilet paper to flush it:rolleyes: If we are in the room, she'll come get us to do it. -She likes to do her tricks in a certain order most of the time. 1. Sit, 2. Down, 3. Roll over or Stay, 4. Touch, 5. Which hand? If I don't do them in this order, she'll do whatever should be next.:p But I can usually get her to do what I'm asking. -She has to have her food and water a certain way. The water is on the left and food on the right. If it isn't like this she'll pull them out of the tray (usually without spilling anything) and arrange them -If I'm snacking on chips or something on the couch or chair. She has to be in my lap -Finally, she loves her blow dryer (yes, she has her own). If I'm giving her a bath, whether I'm done or not, if I let go of her while she's in the sink, she'll get out and get under the dryer as if to say, "Ok Mommy, I'm done with my bath now even if you're not!" When it's finally time, she'll lie down under it and almost go to sleep. :aimeeyork |
Ohh this thread has me in stitches! Yorkie's seem like such characteristic little animals. |
Scarlett shakes herself so hard her back feet come off the ground! It's so cute! When we get the treats out --she starts going through her tricks hoping something will produce a treat! It's so funny to see her sit, down, wait..back to sit! All without prompting. She hugs my daughter like a baby on a mom's hip--she wraps her feet around her side and hugs her like a baby holding onto mom!:aimeeyork |
I love this post! Reminds us all why we have and love Yorkies! We put Oliver's (dry) dog food in a little white ramekin, which we keep in our kitchen. When he thinks it's time for more, he picks up the ramekin in his teeth and carries it to the edge of the living room, staring at us as if to say: So what's keeping you? If we don't respond as soon as he thinks we should, he drops the ramekin on the hardwood floor with a resounding crash. The odd thing: 9 times out of ten he will approach his newly filled dish, sniff the food and then just walk away. I suppose he is just reasserting his authority to keep us in line...... |
My Abbie, who is four years old and 8 lbs, has the strangest way of getting attention. When my husband is watching TV sitting in the recliner sofa, Abbie will get in his lap and just sit up like a ground hog, front paws in the air and stare at him. If he does not look at her then she will punch him in the chest with her paw then sit up again. She will keep doing this until she gets petted and told how pretty she is. If I am at the computer she will also turn and look at me too while she is doing it. It really is funny because she does this every night. If we are both sitting on the sofa she will just take turns getting in our laps doing her trick. Also, if I am sitting at the computer, at least a couple times a day, Abbie will run over to me and start barking and pawing at my legs frantically until I pick her up and give her a hug then she is happy. Dixie, who is 13 years old like to play mind games when she wants in my lap. When I am sitting on the couch she will start barking to be picked up and she will bounce up and down and when I reach down to get her she will back up, just out of my reach. She will do this a couple of times and then I will have to say in a stern voice "Dixie, get over her", then she will come close enough for me to pick her up. Mind you, Dixie could get on the couch using the step we have by the couch but she would rather use the elevator.:) |
