If you buy the directly from Merrick they cost each - $5.37 or 50ct/case - $249.38 plus shipping. Merrick Pet Foods - Dog Treats If you buy them from e-bay, you can get them for $116.99 for 50 with free shipping, and it says that they are in a sealed box. 50 Merrick 6-8" FLOSSIES Dog FREE Treats Bully Sticks - eBay (item 350264385197 end time Oct-19-09 13:06:44 PDT). It's possible they are selling seconds, but usually they have to say so, and the packaging has to say so.

Actually that is the seller i bought from the first time. I couldn't resist that free toy. It was an ugly red plush bone, but it squeaked so Uni liked it. i wonder how they are able to sell for so much cheaper than merrick does. I wonder if I can open a wholesale acct directly from merrick and see how much they are that way???

Manufacturers often promise there distributors that they will not sell cheaper than a certain price, and that allows distributors to be competitive, and it also allows manufacturer to sell directly to public. You could probably buy directly from Merrick since you have a wholesale license with your store, and just set the Flossie box on display on your counter next to your purses. Lol, I would take all the big ones out first. :D Bad news is to get the best wholesale prices, you usually have to buy huge quantities, that's why bigger pet stores can sell cheaper than smaller pet stores.

Ok I gotta stop trying to "save" money by buying from these ebay sellers for a few flossies at a time. I just got my order in from the new seller. i got 5 of them (all they had left). One was thick, 2 were decent, one was thin, and one was super thin and short, you could practically see through it. No actually you COULD see through it. :( It is so short the paper header is about 2" longer than it. :thumbdown: I'm just gonna order from entirelypets only from now on. At least they are consistent.

Lots of the ebay sellers are pet stores, it\'s just another way to get your name out there, I buy the sticks in a sealed carton, and that the only way you can be sure someone\'s not doing a switch-a-roo on you. I wonder if the manufacturer has any guaranteed lower weight of the flossies? Like I said before, there is a great deal of variation between the sticks, some are really huge, but none are super thin. Most are medium. I\'d be tempted to send the really thin one to the manufacter, you might get some free stuff.
