We live in pine tree country and this year seems to be a great time for pine cones. The dogs play with them and get covered with the sticky pine pitch. I read some where that you just use mayonnaise and it comes right out. Tried it and it works great. So if your in a land with pine pitch try it out.

Wow! Thanks for that tip! We have evergreen trees in our yard and the dogs sometimes get that sap on them. Normally I cut it off along with the hair that is stuck to it, but next time I'll try the mayo!

Great tip indeed! I was wondering how Sophie's toys and paws were getting so sticky at times. I'll be sure to try the mayo next time.
