What's the most human thing your Yorkie does??? :asleep:Hey I would love to hear what "human" things your Yorkies do. Lily tends to like to sleep in late. I think its a human thing to do because most Dogs are happy in the morning.... not Lily. She will stay in bed until ten... even if the girls and I are up at six. She wont come down for a cookie or go out to pee! She will even take my spot in the bed where it is nice and warm:dogzzz: I can see her from my daughters room, in the morning when I'm changing a diaper I look at her  grrr wish I was sleeping too, and she wont make eye contact... silly Lily |
My Hallie tattles on the other yorkies. She runs to me jumping up and down until I follow her to see who is doing what. She also lets me know if anything is out of place or different. Last week we had a strong wind that blew a branch down. She would not leave me alone until I went outside to look. I knew it was down, I had seen it out the window. But she was not happy unil I went outside to see it. Yesterday I did some Chritmas shopping, A killer Shopko sale. I was carrying all of the bags into the house, and one toy had gotten turned on and it was talking. She went nuts until I let her show me the bag. I swear this is all true. She is hillarious. Just waiting for her to tell me that Timmy fell down the well. LOL Only the old timers will understand that one. |

LOL I was just thinking the same thing about Barley this morning. He can sleep and sleep, but Bijou is an early bird so they are night and day. |
well...he alway's sleep at night with me and we using a same pillow together (or should i said he using my pillow more then me):D:D and it's been cold lately in here, and now he want me to share my blanket with him:):) |

My dogs complain a lot if I dare sleep pass 8 am... even with their pee pads and a automatic feeder set up for 7AM in their bedroom, they for sure let me know when I am behind schedule!!! LOL |
Ditto on the pillow-using behavior and the sleeping in late...Stella is SO lazy until about NOON! The way she cries/moans when she sees the nail clippers also reminds me of trying to clip a human child's nails...she's such a baby  |
Pasquale burps like a drunken sailor...and he doesnt think anything of it. He'll just be walking by and all of the sudden BUUUUUUUUURRRRP!!! |
Well lets see................... When I pick Truman up he farts like an old man :p I will think about this a little more and check back :D:D |
Laci talks, she doesnt bark at me she really just will make these really weird talking noises, and tilting her head! Its actually really funny... :D |
Last week, Kaji has been throwing tantrums before I went off to work. He knows what time I leave so he does whatever is in his power to stop me. This includes holding his pee on his walk before work, and peeing on the carpet and my pants to delay my departure. Who said dogs aren't smart???? |

She also thinks she is the boss to our cats. If she thinks they are doing something wrong, she makes sure she tells them. |
Sugar moans and groans and WHINES until I stop what I am doing, pay attention to her....and PICK HER UP  |
Sophie Kate will watch TV, she doesn't have a favorite show or if she does she hasn't figured out the remote yet. |
There are times when our 9-month-old Yorkie morphs into a teenage girl with loud sighs. She does this at the appropriate time, too, primarily when we stop playing and she wants to continue or when she's wanting our attention but doesn't get it immediately. She also gives us the cold shoulder for a period of time after we return from an outing without her. After her 10 or so minutes of shunning us, she's back to her normal interactive, bouncy self with us. |
I think the charm of the Yorkie is that they are so much like a human child. It is like having a toddler around the house. Of course, the more we treat her like a baby, the more human Daisy acts. Our pup likes to sleep with her head on Daddy's pillow at night and makes different funny noises to tell you what she needs. There's a potty bark, a I-need-a-nap noise, a hungry bark, a training-time groan, a play bark/noise, and a noise like a cat when the microwave beeps that her warmie is ready and you don't get it right away! |
:thumbs upThese posts have made my day I thought of another weird/human thing Lily does... sometimes she suckles in her sleep. Does anyone elses dog do this. It's like she's nursing, her mouth even moves:questione Kinda creepy... I have to say the automatic feeder is halarious:sidesplt: I am growing to love the people of YT so much!! |
mine will get up in your face like she going to give you a kiss and then she will burp in you face !!! and when my daughter wont play with her she will pee on the floor right in front od her door for her to step in she just getting even lol:D |
I swear that Sadie is a teenager! When she gets in trouble and we say "NO!" she does this throaty grumble, mumbling under her breathe. And she will totally talk back too! Max, will sleep with his head on the pillow. It's hilarious b/c he is so small he ends up sleeping at an awkward upward angle. |
Cooper does 2 things....one is if he smells smoke he will go to each window and bark and to the air vents and bark, bark, bark until we physically get up and go look at them. We have neighbors that burn there chimena/BBQ pit almost everynight and you can smell it from the outside. I am always so proud he is protecting us. 2nd thing is when it is time to go night night.....if we stay up late and he is tired he will keep going back and forth to the bedroom making this growling/girgly noise. Then we we get ready to go to bed he comes over to me or my DH and litteraly stands up on his back legs and holds his arms out to us to be picked up.....Once you reach down to him he just jumps up in your arms.....it is just like having a 2 yr old toddler saying mommy, mommy pick me up. He LOVES his night night time...oh yeah and fixing his blanket that is a whole other story. |

Winston does so many things that seem almost human to me...but one that hasn't already been mentioned is he laughs...when he's playing, when he's having fun...he giggles or snickers, it's the funniest thing I've ever heard of. He also takes my face between his paws and gives me that look of love, melts my heart each and every time. He tries so hard to understand each word I speak. |
Max does a few things that crack me up. When he lays down to sleep, he lets out this loud sigh as if to say "aahhh finally". He also barks at me when I'm not paying attention to him as if he's saying "hey....what about me?". |
Gunnar does a couple of cute things that are human like. He will sit and make a whiny noise when it's time to play. I ask him "where is monkey or ball? and he looks around for it and usually finds it and we play. If the phone rings, he runs to the nearest one and barks at it then runs to me and back to the phone. Donna |
My first yorkie Rambi would sulk after having his hair cut, he'd get up and go sit in the corner with his back to us for about a half hour. Alfie burps after eating his dinner and if Rosie wants something she'll jump on your lap, put her paws on my chest and stare into your eyes, must think I'm telepathic. She also grumbles if her bed isnt to her liking and she has to adjust it. |
These are all very cute:) I find if I have to get after Jackson for too much barking or he is jumping up too much he will go sit in his doggie bed and turn his back on me LOL He will turn his head now and then to see if I am looking at him. |

I woke up last night thinking about this thread :D Last night Sugar was cold  she moaned and groaned until I opened up the blanket for her to crawl under then she circled twice to get the right position and immediatly started SNORING with the blanket over her little head like a hoodie :D |
Lillie farts and I swear I think it's my fiance! She sounds like a human, too! It's insane and so frickin' funny! We laugh so hard! What she does is farts, turns around and looks at us for a couple seconds----SO FUNNY! |
you should find the thread(s) here about yorkie farts you will laugh till you cry ;) |
