Last night Bently was outside where I couldn't see him, so I walked to the corner of the house and peeked around to see what he was up to.

He was looking for a "safe place" to hide a chew stick and didn't see me. When he found "the perfect spot" he proceeded to dig a hole and put the chew stick in it and then used his nose to bury it. All this time he didn't know I was watching him.

Later on I couldn't resist going to the spot and seeing how good he buried the stick. He saw me and I'll be darned it he didn't go to the spot later on and dig it up and brought it back in the house...... as if he were saying to me...... No you can't have my chew stick...... I'll bury it again when you aren't looking.

It was so cute........ I just had to share.

awww...bless..i love it when they do things like that. Yorkies are so bright, they are almost human!

O for cute! My Misty buries parts of her treats under her blanket in the bedroom. When she goes to bed at night she checks to make sure they are still there and then she'll check in the morning. If they are missing, she will stand next to her bed and glare at me. I bad mama!

So cute! Yorkies are amazingly smart dogs...Joey and Tank are very in tune with my emotions, and they were trained very quickly. In addition, they know the meanings of the words baby, cookie, outside, chewie, bath, go to bed, and more, including names of people and animals they know.

That is hilarious!! I love when I get ready to put a sweater on Yogi and he runs and jumps in his bed and sticks his head straight down so I can't put the sweater on him. I have to lift him up and he does everything in his power to get back in the bed and bury his head.

This reminds me of a commercial I saw this past week. The little dog takes his bones out to the yard and buries it. He worries about it, and watches it out the window. So the next day he goes out, digs it up and takes it to the bank. Puts it in the safe deposit box. That night he has bad dreams that his bone is missing from the box, so the next day he goes and gets it. Then you see the little dog sleeping peacefully with his bone in the dish next to him.

Sounds like our babies. LOL
