Yeah, I agree I do not believe in tattooing dogs either. I think it's cruel.

Do you take the parents of your pups in for check ups to your vet? I would assume during the pregnancy you would have your female in for check ups no? I think this could have been avoided had the pups also been checked out by your vet. I mean if you're going to breed and sell pups I would think that the pups would at least be entitled to a basic check up by your vet prior to selling. Just my opinion. And yes, tail docking, dew claws etc is painful and I'm not a big fan of that however, I hardly think you can compare it to tattooing since their are other alternatives to that technique which are more humane. Hope it works out. This WHOLE thing on both sides sounds weird. Elaine

LOL That's the problem. I sure don't know how to do it but I also don't know if it would actually be considered on my computer. The pictures went from my camera memory chip directly to the email. I attached directly from the memory card so I don't know if it would ever have actually been on my computer.

Sorry your puppy was such a mess but even though it was a surprise, at least it wasn't a bad surprise. LOL Sylvia

Course you know I wasn't there when it happened but it sounded like someone out front told them it was a boy. It didn't sound like they actually saw the vet. She did have some dark hairs in the center of her belly just above where a boys peepee would have been but just moving her around showed that it was hair, nothing under the hair but flat skin. I think someone might have been annoyed at being asked, gave the puppy a quick flip and glance and decided it was a boy. Sylvia

LOL I can't speak for anyone but me and my family and my family pretty much leaves it up to me. One of my sons brought the puppy out and put her on the ground when the couple came up and I didn't look. I trusted that my son had brought out the right one. Later when all this came up I checked the only other brown puppy I had here and it was a boy. I had one brown boy and one brown girl.

The thing that made me doubt myself is that I have a litter of Maltese puppies and I could have sworn I had 4 boys the day they were born. I didn't check my ledger and when I went to weigh them when they were 3 days old, I found I had 3 boys and one girl. I was even searching for 4 boys names and came up with Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. When I realized I had a girl in the litter, it became Matthew, Mark, Luke and Mary. LOL

Honestly, for an instant, I thought one had changed sex. I don't know how I missed it but it set me up for this lady and her silliness. LOL Sylvia
