:( My wife I went to purchase our new puppy... at this GOD AWFUL puppy mill in Bonham, Texas. We had spoken to this man, Steve, several times on the phone and we impressed by his nice words, chatty personality and love for his dogs. We also have a mutual friend who raved about her new puppy that she purchased from this man, Steve, at Yorkie Teacup and Toy Yorkies available we also breed Yorkie mix puppies as well as Maltese pups in Teacup and Toy sizes When we went to his home, We were completely taken off guard as to what we were walking in to. Regardless, my wife & I's mutual friend had never went to his home to witness the cruelty that this man Steve and his wife do to this poor animals. They have 3 to 5 dogs in this small, metal cages...resembling a hen house with their cages all along the sides of the wall, with the metal cage flooring exposed and opened for them the pee and poop. These poor dogs have wrist bands listing their name, birth date and purchase price; meanwhile they are covered in their urine and poop along with their other cage mates urine and pisces. Some of his dogs are almost a year old.. the ones he hasn't sold yet, this is probably because he lists them at $6,000.00 not including the poor older dogs who live their enitre life with this cruelty only for breeding purposes. My wife were interested in saving an older pup that hadn't sold, as he refers to as a 'rescue', she desperately wanted this sad dog, because she felt sorry that he never had a home. It was so heartbreaking to see that he was so scared when we took him from his small, compressed metal cage that he was shaking too death! Obviously, because he has lived his whole life in this small cage (shared with other dogs) that when we put him on the grass, he didn't know what to do, but shake and lay down... as he frantically wanted to only get back into the small cage that he was used to. My wife started crying, begging me to let her adopt them all (she has an amazing heart) Not only was I upset to see her like this, but I promised myself to let others know that this sad, grown man Steve chooses to make this his occupation. His neglect and cruelty to this poor dogs, who live in an in these small, compressed, matel cages (with nothing to lay on, including the ones who just gave birth in the cage) with also no air conditioner in 104 degree Texas weather, clearly shows his greed and cruelty and is undeniably noticed by anyone who encounters it. I pray that no-one will encourage this puppy mill by purchasing their new puppy from this man, Steve, at Yorkie Teacup and Toy Yorkies available we also breed Yorkie mix puppies as well as Maltese pups in Teacup and Toy sizes After we came home and researched our experience... it turns out whats worse is that this is this man Steve, who is the owener of Yorkie Teacup and Toy Yorkies available we also breed Yorkie mix puppies as well as Maltese pups in Teacup and Toy sizes, is the brother of the infamous Jeff Danes of Yorkie Pup .com Home page. Teacup Toy & Standard Yorkies, who is also known to be notorious and for his cruelty to these poor dogs. If you strongly feel that you want to add your newest member of your family from this man, I can only ask for your to go to his home and witness the exact same cruelty that we had experienced to let that influence your decision. I can only hope that Steve and his wife will realize that their greed has become unethical, cruel and heartbreaking to these poor helpless animals. I also hope that they will find God in their heart and realize the difference between right and wrong. Please do not encourage this man Steve at www.yourpup.com:animal-pa

You are exactly right, no one should buy from these people. There have been many, many complaints against the latter brother and I hate to hear another mill has been opened within this family. I hope you made a complaint to the local officials. It pays to do your homework!

You posted yesterday in the Breeders Threads, Here is my response: Please contact the local Sheriffs office Bohnam Tx, and it Fannin County and contact the local TV station, KXII 12 Sherman You can do this by Email. Please report this since you have witnessed it first hand...My daughter purchased one of Jeff Danes dogs about 5 years ago. She witnessed and contacted the authorities concerning the outrageous living conditions.

The local stations are good too but may I suggest Fox4 as well and KTen is the other local station.

I am very thankful that I found YT and my Sam before I purchased from J.D.

Too many people are taken in by people like "Steve", nice and chatty on the phone and professing their love of dogs only to be horrified by the actual conditions the puppies are living in.

this guy is sick, he has a ridiculous amount of puppies for sale on his website, that should be a given to anyone that he shouldn't have that many puppies ready to go. i feel horrible for those poor babies, i hope through the law and news media you can help shut this guy down! good luck!!

Thanks for spreading the word. It is more justification for NEVER buying a dog without being able to see FIRST HAND where they live and how they are kept. The rare exception would be if you had a good reliable reference who had been there to see the operation and could be trusted to convey a valid report.

I also, hope you have contacted the authorites and the news agencies to report this horrible situation. It is beyond my imagination how human beings can be so cruel to such sweet, innocent animals. I look at mine and just cringe to think others just like them (or at least dogs that had the potential to be just like them) are being treated so inhumanely.

Hopefully all will push for harsher penalties for those who run puppymills and make what they do against the law. At least make sure there is something more than a minor fine for abusing animals like this! I am thankful to this site where I saw videos of teh sort of conditions you are describing and worse. I never realized just how horrible a puppymill was. It had never occurred to me that they would really have so little regard for the welfare of the animals that were putting $$$ in their pockets.

:eek: To the OP Please get this place shut down by contacting the proper authorities, only then ALL the dogs there can hopefully have some sort of life.
Did you any pics or video evidence?

Sending you encouragement to contact your local authorities and any one
else willing to listen to get this place closed and give each one of these
pitiful dogs a life. May he rot in hell in the future. I hate reading stories
like this because I can't get them out of my mind for days.
I am mad at our government for allowing man's best friend to continue
suffering with no help from them. Unless it's a high porfile case only
then do they show themselves with remorse.

I second everyone else's response. I am somewhat surprised that this guy actually let you see the condition of the dogs. Usually these 'nice and chatty' sellers have a plausible reason to meet you halfway, such as a relative that they visit. So that it is easier for you to meet them somewhere to pick up the puppy, rather than you go to their property.
They always seem sooo nice, don't they?

You can do an advance search on YT and put in Jeff Dane. I gues this Steve is his brother who operates this site with him, or what the heck he may have changed his name because he owns Yorkiepup.com and is in Bonham,Tx. Or maybe its the same person. Now Im begining to wonder what going on here. Calling all private YT detectives!

What are the chances that 2 Yorkie Breeders out of Bonham Tx that have a website called Yorkiepup.com. but have 2 different names. I dont get this.

Steves website is yourpup.com. Jeffs is yorkiepup.com. They are brothers

Reading this thread is so sad. :( I just can't believe people REALLY do this. UGH. I really hope that the OP contacts the authorities and media to help expose this family even more. :(

Jeff use to live in Bonham, that where my daughter bought Heidi from Jeff Dane in Bonham, Yorkiepup.com, now his brother is there and Jeff lives in Sherman Tx about 15 min drive. I know the sheriff was on him so he just relocated and now I guess his brother is there. Lets keep it the family.

Please, please report them to the authorities. The more people that do this, the better. Power is in numbers!

I'm guessing that you didn't get a puppy (or that poor adult dog)? I hope not, and if you didn't...GOOD FOR YOU! I know it's hard to resist, but we can not support these puppymillers.

FYI I just called YOURPUP.COM and Steve Danes friend answered and said that I could not come visit his site since Steve and his lovely wife are in TOURING ITALY. And yes he does have a brother Jeff Dane that owns YORKIEPUP.COM. They share this Kennel.

I hope the Op calls the news stations and reports them. It would be nice to put them both out of business. Jeff has sold alot of sick pups. There have been several people on here that have bought from him and a few from steve. Jeff used to cruise this site and threaten lawsuits to anyone who wrote anything negative about him

I purchased my Tucker 6 years ago from Jeff Dane, he was sold as is with an overbite. Well the overbite is really bad, he actually came off the airplane with a nasty cough, which Jeff said he was startled at the airport by a hail storm?? Now I am fighting a battle with tuckers collapsed trachea. I would never buy anything from him again, mostly because of what I did hear. His rescues now look very poor in condtion. We got Ryle from that sorry SOB, he was so sick when he got here, he couldn't even walk for 3 days. We just thought the amount we paid for Ryle was high...it was nothing compared to the vet bills to get him healthy. I pm'd you.

I cannot understand how people can be cruel like this! :( The dogs are living beings and have feelings!!!! My heart aches to know that this goes on and that they are somehow allowed to get away with it! :mad:
