So I had to take drastic measures or face a 500.00 fine! I bought the Spray Commander spray collar this one has a little remote ( the top button gives a beep to warn, the middle button gives a short spray and the bottom button gives a long spray) now the collar fits loose on the dogs neck so the the spray shoots up in front of their face ,not into their face. When you give a correction with the collar you choose when to give it with the remote. The spray makes a loud hiss ,this distacts the dog from what they are barking at so that they can hear you give the command to not bark.Remy is now almost three years old and she rarely has to wear the collar ,I just use a can of pennys to give a correction if she starts barking too much. There is no quick fix for barking .The collar is not cruel, and it was a far better option than a shock collar or having the dog debarked .The last two options I couldn't even bring myself to consider these!
