yorkie going nuts I recently got a little male, he is about 3 months now. He does the craziest thing he will run up and down the hallway at light speed just growling. he will do this about 10 times. does anyone else's do this. |
We like to refer to this behavior as the ZOOMIES :D |
Pasquale is doing the Zoomies right now as i type. I love watching and hearing him do this. We call him the Tazmanian devil when he does this :D |
Everyone's right. It's the Yorkie Zoomies. Isn't it hysterical? I love watching Buddy when he does this. Usually right after a bath will bring it on. |

I have two yorkies, almost 10 months old, and they are still as crazy as ever. We call them psychos because they play/growl/run around all the time. It's hard to watch TV sometimes, but I love it that they love life so much & just want to play!! |

I have to be careful when all 3 of mine do it at the same time. Just have to take a seat until their done. It is so funny. Sometimes they do it in the yard it is hysterical. They are just charging everywhere. |

mine does it, i LOVE her when she does that, i actually used to confuse the zoomies with the poopy dance, they are close in nature, now i realize the zoomies are to be laughed at and her fast pacing, circling, squatting, repeat is the poopy dance. she's hilarious to watch though!! another story: last night i was cooking and she was playing in the kitchen, i pushed around this toy that spits out kibble for her, she ate it and started to make up her own game, she would run under the kitchen table to hide, ZOOM out and grab a treat really fast and then zoom back and eat it under the table. she was playing like she was really sneaking up on that kibble and attacking it to be eaten I LOVE PUPPY HOOD PLAY TIME |

Baxter flies all over the place at least once a night. I call it his "fit". He thinks he's a bird. Leaping on the bed, couch etc. |

Romeo does this too. We love it. Lately he has been doing it a lot at night and we've made a game of it. He'll stop and my BF will say BOO and he will take off again lol it's hilarious. |
Both of mine do this. Oliver 4.5 months gets started and then Buttons 4 yrs starts in. They chase each other all over the house. Buttons jumps on the bed while Oliver goes under it. I always stay out of the way or I get all tripped up. Love it. |

HAH dusk zoomies i read that puppy zoomies are most common in the morning or at dusk mine's always at dusk, i thought she was nutts and even called her evil on another thread (my apologies) but it was all just the zoomies!! |
Oh yes, boyh mine do it too. Usually involves Alfie chasing Rosie around the house and garden, his barks soon become frustrated squeeling when she wont let him catch her. |

Yep -- the Zoomies -- good name! Three of mine will do this. Suddenly out of nowhere, a silent challenge goes out and all three are hyperspeeding through the house. The way my house is laid out they can do a figure eight through living room, foyer, kitchen, dining room, and den. It will make you dizzy watching. I would not mind it so much except Ben tends to bark when they do this. I am also waiting for the wear pattern to show in the carpet. Talk about a high traffic area! |

Wow Well that is a relief, I thaught, he was pchsyco or something, I was starting to worry. I am glad to find out this is normal. I think. It had me worried at first, I thaught maybe there was something genetically wrong or something. Thanks so much for the relief. |
