so pistoff ! i went on vacation for a week and i left my furbaby with a baby sitter i know this person for atleast two years.and that's her job she's a dog walker and she also babysits dogs.anyway i came back from vacation on sunday and i noticed that my furbaby hasn't been eating so i got a little worry so i called her and asked her if my furbaby was eating good that week she had him and she told me yes.and i asked her if she fed him the food i gave her for him and she told me no that she was giving him iams so i got so angry at her and i told her a few nasty words .and she had the nerves to tell me that her feeding every dog different food is a waist of her time that she had five dogs to take care of .so i told her that's why we pay you so that you do what we say.and i also gave her a to do list is not like she didn't know what to do.i can't believe the nurve of some people.this is a lesson for me i will never leave my furbaby behind. |
I would be furious! She shouldn't be pet sitting if she can't take care of them properly. |
Well I guess look at the bright side..You are home with your baby now!! At least nothing major happened!! |
If you pay her why would she be so lazy? At least no more serious injurys happened. |

That would have made me mad too. Changing food like that was enough to make your baby sick. I have even mixed old with new brand and had their little systems get upset. Be glad you found out and never use her again. Glad your baby was okay. |
Unfortunately it is very common for boarding places to feed the same food to every dog they board. If i can say one thing in her defense , at least she was honest about it. Believe me, a lot of places will do it and not even tell you. Some places do not take dogs that require special diets or special feedings, not even dogs that feed wet food, raw diets or anything that mean a little more attention on feeding time. At least you have your baby safe at home. Unfortunately it is not easy to find a trustworthy place to take care of your little one. Give her credit for having kept your baby safe. I hope you 2 make amendments. 2 years that you know this person, even if you decide never to bring your yorkie for her again. It is better to be in peace. XOXO |
wow! that would've done major damage to my baby! i'm so glad that notihing bad happened to yours!!! I would be furious too!!! Quote:

That is unbelievable!! That is why we always take Prince with us, or he stays with Grandma. Is there a site where you can post what happened to you, so no one else has to go thru the same thing? I'm glad your baby is ok. |
Hello there Mama :) I have given up on finding a good yorkie groomer in my area. I am in Massapequa, where about is this person? Actually I have been self grooming and enjoying both the quality time together and the outcome. As a haircutter I do have an advantage over most though. Let me know please. Roufianna's dad. |

You are so very right about choosing a family member to care for your yorkies. XOXO |
wow i would be livid, i think we're going to have a hard time with boarding, she's on a raw diet that must be kept cold and i make it, i can easily bring some with us when she's going too, and store it in the fridge or cooler and feed her, but for boarding they won't do that, they only feed dry...i guess i might just have to leave her with the royal canin that i free feed to her when i can't be home all day. hmm....scary |
Yeah that wouldn't wash with me at all. What if your dog had allergies or foot intolerances? And IAMS? YUCk! |
when i spoke to her she told me that it wont be a problem me bringing my furbaby's his own food so i took her word for it .if it was such a problem she should had told me when i asked her. |
At least you didn't come back to find her vomiting and having bouts of diarrhea and with a bacterial intestinal infection , dehydrated and a vet bill for $70. Oh yeah... that happened....to me... :( Consider yourself lucky. But it still does suck that she didn't follow your orders. I feel your pain. |
No kidding she should have told you right at the beginning of the conversation. Then you could have made a decision as to whether or not to leave your furbaby with her. Taking a dog with you on vacations also brings about new problems. |
You have every reason to be livid... I would be too!! That would be the end of that. Give some extra hugs and kisses. |

Good luck in finding a good boarding place! Crossing my fingers for you ! |
Xoxoxo |
I would be pissed too, you gave her money to take care of your fur baby and this, she is a lazy butt head, she needs to not be taking care of anyones dog |
I would be infuriated! My two are so sensitive to everything, and anything that I give them needs to be closely monitored because of their little tummies! Iams is not a good food- and made my two have diarrhea issues! |

I'm with you on this...I would be PISSED as well. We spend alot of time picking the right food for our baby and to have that ruined by a paid boarder? And IAMS of all thing's. |
I'd be angrry too, especially as she told you it was ok to provide your own food Why say that, and then not feed it? I'm relieved that your baby is ok :) xxx |
I would be UPSET to say the least. When I go out of town, I have someone stay here at the house. I leave detailed directions, as well as put the amount of food in ziploc snack baggies so all she has to do is warm them in the microwave. She even tries to do a topknot bless her heart which she does not know how to do, but at least she tries. I am so glad to have someone good. Glad at least you are now aware of it. Imagine not knowing and having continued with her sitting your dogs. |
