Don't be sorry, you can have your feelings. I totally agree with you! I don't like doggy kisses on my face or hands or legs (yes, my dogs try to leg lick me ;o) I hate it, makes me feel like I have cooties crawling on me. BUT that's me, if you like it, have at it. As long as your babies know they are loved, I don't care how you show it :D

i have to agree with the OP. I think its disgusting. Their tongues have been in some pretty dirty places and i do not want it on my face, let alone my lips. You can brush their teeth all you want but it doesn't stop the face that 10 minutes later they will lick their crotch before giving you a kiss on the lips.

Misty my yorkie is very stingy with her kisses, it I get one once a week I'm happy. Right now I'm getting my kisses from my 12 wk old Maltese, Cassie. I'm also trying to get her to stop biting my lower lip and nose. I'll take all the kisses I get and NO, I don't think it is yucky or gross. That's one of the ways that they can tell you how much they love you.

I've gotta be honest - it doesn't gross me out. Jackson is not much of a licker/kisser but I've had many dogs who kissed like crazy! My mom's dog Carmen was always trying to lick up my nose, and she would lick all over my face, lol. It just doesn't gross me out. I mean, dog tongue constantly on the lips is obsessive, I'd put a stop to that, lol. But in general, dogs licking my face has never grossed me out.

I love it. I taught Dante to kiss on command. But he only does it with me. Leo is a sneaky kisser. He runs to you kisses and then runs away. Friday is stingy with her kisses but I am training her to kiss on command to. Chicken helps.

OP, I have to agree with you...I still think it is pretty gross, but that doesn't stop Chloe from sneaking kisses every time she gets a chance. After the first few hundred swipes over the course of a month, I gave it up as a lost cause. I figure she's gonna do it regardless and it breaks my heart to get onto her when I feel like she's doing something sweet. Besides, it is one of the few harmless habits she has!! Best to be thankful for what I've got.

The worst, though, is when I'm holding her (like taking her down the stairs to go potty) and I'm on my cell phone talking. That is when she tends to catch me with my mouth wide open for her kisses!!! :eek:

With my toy poodle, I did teach him to kiss on command but he'd only lick my cheek lightly. And only when I told him to. :) Chloe has no regard for what I want!

Fergus is a total kisser...and yeah, the tongue sneaks in once in a while, ugh! I act like I don't approve, but it doesn't really bother me.

He is my baby! I love my kisses! and he has sweet breath, so, its not a problem (and he rarely ever licks anywhere on his own body, unlike every other dog I have had)

:thumbup::thumbup: for doggy kisses!
