Its was 50 degrees outside today at 3:00 pm!:eek::eek:It's cold! And trust me, 50 is cold when your used to it being 100 every day. Brrr! Snickers is laying around with his fleece blanket wrapped around him, he looked so stunned when it snowed today! (I think he's affraid to go outside now, even though it didn't stick) So I'm looking everywhere for a little doggie sweater. Is it this cold where you are too? Guess winter is coming early this year.:p |
It's SOOO hot here, and will be for at least 6 more weeks. I NEED cool:cool: |
Oh I would love to trade :D! It's so quiet without the swamp cooler going. |
WOW! 80's here |
Time to walk Snickers with our winter coats on! LOL |
Wow, when I left the North Side of Houston to come home on the South Side of Houston, it was 103 @ 5 o'clock!!! I am sooooooooo totally ready for the fall...It's just too durn hot here.... |
Not here -- we are still in hot weather for quite a while. The boys start two-a-days Monday for football. The big worry here is always heat stroke in August. Snow -- wow -- hard to believe in August! I miss wearing sweaters. I don't even buy them anymore. We have so few days that we can really wear them down here, it is just not worth it. |
Dang Marissa how far north are you in NV? like Canada? LOL It was 85 here today, a cooloff from prior days. |
Wow! It's super hot here and the humidity is through the roof. Expecting it to be around 100 this weekend. HOT!!! :tongue001 50's sounds wonderful! |

It is been 20 degrees below average here in Michigan for the whole month of July and now part of August! Suppose to get to 85 on Sunday, I would have to feel it to believe it. We get down to the low 50s at night, brrrrrrrr. I can feel your pain, I'm STILL waiting for summer! My dogs love this weather though, they can play outside all day without a problem, lots of skeeters though, with all this rain (it rains every day in MI). |
:D My sister went four wheeling on her blind date today. Guess she went Mud Bogging instead! That must have been on awesome first date :p |

WOW 50 Degrees!! It was upper 80's here and that was COOL for us lol. I had on Sweats to go to the grocery store because that is some COOL weather for me lol.. It has been SUPER HOT with a cool off period for the last weeks or so. It's funny because to me San Francisco is like the North Pole compared to the Valley .. when we go there it's the coldest weather we get. |
New to Yorkie Talk Hi - I'd like to introduce ourselves to Yorkie Talk. We just recently adopted our first Yorkie, Darwin who is 4 months old and I've been reading lots of great information on Yorkie Talk. We also have a 12 month old 110 pound 3/4 Great Pyrenees/lab puppy, two Bengal cats and a long haired black cat - and of course our Beta fish Hidey (named by our daughter since the fish hides a lot!) I just can't resist writing in tonight for the first time after reading Marissa's post about how cold it is in Nevada and Capt Noonie's letter about the Canadia reference. We're in British Columbia on the Northwest coast 3 hour drive to get to Alaska ) and we've been having a heat wave for the past couple of weeks. It was pretty cool today 29 degrees celcius (84 degrees fahrenheit). Last week we were up to 38 degrees celcius (100.4 fahrenheit). Of course this is pretty unusual for us so I just thought I'd brag a little bit! Thanks for all of the great information and I'm looking forward to learning a lot more about these sweet puppies.:) Trin |

Thanks for the nice welcome! It was 100 f outside; in our home it was 104 - air conditioning would be nice for two weeks out of the year but it's pretty hard to justify for the remainder of the year. I love the heat so you'll never hear me complain how hot it is - a couple of years ago we had snow on the ground from October 31 until May - that was a really long winter! |
