Max was good with strangers always went right up to them. Except for the neighbor boy. I don't know what it was but Max would just pull on his leash trying to get away and not let the kid pet him. It was odd because he loved every other person/kid. They say dogs are smart, but I haven't seen anything odd about the neighbor. He has 2 brothers. Well, I take that back. They like to spit on each other. I've been told it's their custom though. ???? |

Chloe and Lacey loves strangers, although they bark a little when they hear noise at the door. I have to hold them until they calm down a bit, otherwise one goes for the mouth and the other the nostrils. Personally I smooch with them all the time but others probably don't want their nose or mouth filled with the tongue of a yorkie, so unless it is a friend who owns one, I try to be polite. |
Trixie is very friendly. She'll walk right up to them and wants to say hi. But then when she sniffed them, and the person wants to pet her, she loses interest and ignores them. She's kind of funny that way. |
Chewy loves the attention so he is quite social, but only with adults. He doesn't like children that much and actually tries to bite them  I think he is a little scared and overwhelmed by them. |

Mollie thinks everyone should stop and pet her. Sometimes I almost dread taking her to Petsmart I'm afraid she can be so annoying. But, most people that are at Petsmart don't mind. Anyplace I take her too she doesn't know a stranger. She likes people better than the other dogs we encounter. |
Bob just tore after the Comcast repair guy like he was going to eat him alive. It sort of freaked me out, because he's been so timid up until now. Outside he's very cautious and skittish. He did allow the neighborhood kids to come up and pet him yesterday. One of the little neighbor girls even picked him up and cradled him (even after I told her not to, which sorta pissed me off...) and he seemed to be just fine with it I've only had him for a month. I don't think I trust him at this point. |
Logan LOVES everyone. Little kids, adults, dogs. He gets mad at me if I won't let him go say hi. I try to explain to him that not everyone wants to be friends with him but he doesn't believe me. He scared the sh*t out of a lady at Petsmart because he ran up and started licking her ankle when I wasn't paying attention and neither was she. He'll let anyone pet or pick him up. Nothing will stop him from saying hello to a new person and not liking him is not a choice. Even kids. A friend of mine had a two year old son sitting on the floor and logan ran right up and got in the little boys lap. I was worried because logan can get over excited and use his teeth, but he was very good he nicely licked the little boy and let him hold and touch him. The only time I saw him be nervous were with these two boys that were about 8, but they were being very loud and running around. |
Joey is quite sure that all humans were put on earth to pet him! He is only shy of people on bikes or toddlers carrying sticks. Pretty smart, I'd say. |
I wish my little Cookie was as friendly as everyone else's Yorkies. Everyone is her enemy unless you are in her Circle of Trust :p! She even bit my husband's aunt when we welcomed them in our house . She's very protective of her house and her family. But if she knows you, she will give you all her love. Peanut's been very friendly to everyone but she's still a puppy so we'll have to see about here. |
Pixie, as a rule, is usually unfriendly towards strangers. I'll admit to not socializing her as well as I did with Tuffy but even so she dislikes people she doesn't know. Everytime we go out she will growl at strangers or hide behind me. She also HATES to be held by strangers (which is fine by me, I don't want them holding her anyways) and she doesn't like to be petted either. But once she gets to know a person she'll ease up and be friendlier. Tuffy, on the other hand, would go home with anyone who gave him a pat on the head. |
Cosmo LOVES everyone. If someone comes to the door i hold him and he just tries to wiggle out of my arms to go see the new person. He acts like I am not there if someone new is over here he will just jump on them and wiggle his little tail. It is cute, at petsmart he loves to get downand go play with the other dogs, he likes big dogs too, (I think he thinks he is one of them, hehe). |
Mac & Mellie absolutely love people. They think they are here to be the center of attention at all times. Sometimes I have to tell people who come into the house that they just have to pet Mac so I can calm him down. He also has the turbo tail, but then runs around in circles, rolls over, runs around there feet he looks like he's on some kind of drugs and won't stop until he's petted. Mellie just has the tail thing going. |
Omg Coco loves everything that moves. Jennette is witness to this. She will run up, lick and climb on anything that looks remotely like a living breathing being. She loves people, especially kids, LOVES kids. Her loving people is the reason I want to take her to nursing homes and hospitals. |
