| Yorkie Weight Gain I changed my 5 yr old male, neutured yorkie food to EVO because I have a puppy and I wanted an all stage food. My 5yr yorkie has gained SO much weight. He still eats the same amount but WOW is he fat all of a sudden. Any good suggestions? He needs to loose at least 1 to 1.5 lbs. ps he is active. he plays with the puppy and gets walks a few times a week.

While this may seem like a silly question - have you looked at the feeding guidelines on the bag? If the serving size for the new food is smaller that would account for the weight gain. | |

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | walking a few times a week isn't enough exercise. Evo is a high protein food so he needs to be burning a lot of calories each day. You can continue to feed the EVO, just given him less so that he will lose the weight he gained and then just maintain.
