I lost my almost 6 year old brother in 2006 and nobody should lose a child. Our family has been destroyed over it since but we've been trying to make good out of our situation by starting a foundation and it's helped a lot. I'm sorry for your loss.

The name "Buddy" always makes me smile. Though we all choose different names for our doggies for different reasons, so many times we just say, "Hey, Buddy"..no matter their name. Your "Buddy" will hold a special place no matter where he is because his name alone represents so much to so many. Thinking of you both.

My heart breaks for you my dear.:( My husband John and I went through this on July 2nd when we had to let our precious Odie go. He had a malignant melanoma & there was no way that we could let our precious Odie suffer. He was going to turn 8 in September and we only had him for three of those eight years but they were the happiest three years of our lives. Just hold Buddy in your arms, like I did Odie, and tell him how much you love him & what a wonderful friend he was to you. I know that my Odie is free from pain and running free at Rainbow Bridge. I am crying now as I write this because I miss him so much & I truly feel your pain. Let the tears come. Thank God we still have our Oliver. When I cry he is right there to lick my tears off of my face. Just know that you will be in our thoughts and prayers and if you ever want to write me I'm here for you. God bless you both. My heart is breaking and I am sitting here crying. I know just what you are going through as I went through it last July. Reading your thread brought it all back as if it was yesterday.
How very lucky Buddy is to have you for his mommy.
I wish I could say something that would ease the pain.
I am just so very sorry.
I will keep you in my prayers.

I am so very sorry for what you are facing. It is the hardest thing to do, but it's also the very last act of kindness for them. Just kiss him and love him and be there with him till he crosses over. I wish I could take your pain away, I'm so sad for you. Remember us on here if you need a kind shoulder to lean upon.

I am thinking about you today with all my love...16 years is a long time..and having recently lost my Wee Sammie at 15 years I know the pain it brings..

Be strong for your wee baby...you have loved him for a long time..and now is the time to show him your love one last time.

All his pals are waiting for him at the Rainbow Bridge...
