i feel better, i think we'll just put her outside our door, maybe even put her little dog bed out there so she's comfy and let her in when we're turning down for the night. |
Though the dogs are my kids also, I stick to my guns on this one, Out! No watchers! No getting in the middle. Obviously we tried it,so something happened to come to this conclusion. |

Maybe you can put her xpen in the room and just cover it..that way she doesnt feel so left out...or do you not feel comfortable with her hearing things? |
i dunno that might work, i think outside our door would be easiest, it's not that i care if she hears it, i just don't feel comfortable with another living, breathing, thing in the same room, i know it sounds silly, but it's just a heebie jeebie thing...maybe i'll get over it once she's in my life all the time and she starts to become a member of the bed at night...who knows. we don't have her yet, so we'll just have to see how we feel about it later on...but i'm probably still going to be weirded out having her in the room...?? |
oh my Quote:
i think i'm agreeing with you, i don't want to start out that way and have something a little too weird for comfort happen to make it strange. just leave her out of that part of our lives haha |

I would just put them in another room until it's time for them to come back in, they will survive. :animal36 |
LOL LOL LOL My mom loves Bailey so much I just tell her Bailey is coming for a overnight visit because i've gotten get caught up on work! Bailey FREAKS out when I put him in another room. He pees everywhere deliberately! Quote:

lol, this is funny!!! We have a king size, so either they are on the floor trying to curl up and sleep--or they are at the bottom of the bed trying to sleep. |
What a great thread! I've always wondered what other people did. We have a crate in our room for Sadie to use the piddle pad during the night. It has a bed, food, and water in it. We just set her down in it with a toy or bullie stick for our time. I had a poodle a long time ago that was way, way too into "our" time. It was really like she knew what was happening. She would jump up on the bed and start humping anything in sight. We had to lock her out of the room. My husband coined the phrase bed-booting. It's stuck for whenever we want alone time we bed-boot the dog. :D |
This is a great threat I am enjoying coming back reading all the responses! I get Karlee tomorrow so we'll see how it all goes I may be back reading this thread in a couple day LOL!!!! |
I would kick them out of the room. Stormy would always want to lay on the pillow next to my head and it was too strange for me!! I'd put her on the couch always and she didn't mind. My bullie on the other head is just a freak she will try to get in the middle of it and even go a step further and try to start licking our faces or something!! She gets kicked out too now because she tries to copy daddy sometimes when I am sitting on the couch :blush08::blush08::blush08: |
OMG! Yorkiemama22 bet get that boy trained. This thread is hilarious. When I have company, we have to spend some time with the babies. Mazie just lays in the living room, Misty on the couch, but I'm having problems with Cassie, she follows me everywhere, even into the shower. I put her outside the door and all she does is whine and cry. She'll get used to it. |
Kick em out or get a nose up the bum |

A dog is a dog, no matter how much I love Alfie there are borders that will not be crossed, he gets away with mischief but not murder. |

I put CoCoa B. in his own bed for some privacey with DH.:D |
This is all hilarious!! My DH and I close the door. Marley barks for a while and I laugh which makes things kinda awkward but then it stops. If she can hear us having "mommy and daddy time" she will start barking and scratching at the door LoL sorry if that was TMI... but hey, this is the thread topic. I just couldn't have her or Colt in the room, I don't like the "being watched" feeling. And my DH doesn't like it when either dogs sniff his crotch so I KNOW he wouldn't like them watching him throw down his "moves" LoL |
This thread is too funny! Before we got Tobie, they would usually just get kicked off the bed but Tobie is too nosey and would have to check out what mommy and daddy were doing so now they all get kicked out of the room. LOL. Problem is, the WHOLE time Tobie sits outside the door and scratches and whines... this happened the other day and hubby and I kept laughing. Talk about ruining the mood! hehe :p:p |
Well miss Shilo knows when it's that time she gets down on the floor and just hangs out untill literaly the minute we are done, she just knows, and then she's up in my face. |
This thread is really funny This one is the funniest one i've seen and i'm just kept laughing all day for all the new posts... thanks for being shameless and letting us know how you handle this taboo subject at your homes... i think my Sadie will be put outside our door with a chewy so we can have privacy and no cold noses...my hubbie mentioned something about the 40 yr. old virgin movie having a scene or comment about dogs licking feet, and i told him that some of you have said that really happens to you, he was laughing... thanks for everything, :D |
[ J :icon1: Ruining my love life "HELP Please" :confused:Every time my hubby and i get "intimate" my little george gets upset and starts barking like crazy, if I lock him out of the room he cries to be let in, I've put him down on floor but he still barks till we stop, I'm afraid my husband is getting annoyed with him, George"s bark is so shrill it's hard to ignore, any ideas would be much appreciated.:D __________________ :woof::yorkiesar:Puppy2::helibunny::);):D I'm so in love Not sure how to get link in here but used cut and paste, anyway I had this problem a while ago, the best answer was practise more and it works as my baby just gave up and sleeps on floor till we settle down but he does still do a little annoyed growl before he hops off the bed and like another post said he like to sniff around sheets afterwards, just have to be patient. |
too funny At my age, it's the excuse "not to".., if you know what I mean...lol "oh my Mia is right here and I don't want to disturb her".... or "ahhhh look at her, she's so sweet when she's sleeping, we have to be quiet" or "not tonight Mia's not feeling well"... I could go on and on..... Love it......:) ;) :D |
Too funny!!! U guys r just too funny !!!! LOl :p I quess I can't help , I sleep alone with my furbabie lol  bark@ulater! manina, miley :aimeeyork, max :aimeeyork |

LOL! This thread is hilarious! Roxie used to sleep at the foot of the bed during mommy/daddy time. Until one day when she started going crazy in the middle of it (like the after-bath wet yorkie dance!) and ended up sticking her nose where it uh.. didn't belong.. and ever since then, DH makes sure that she's out of our room and in her own bed, outside the door. |
:lol tearswe kept Tia in the room with us once but she started humping her teddy at the same time:eek: lets just say it put me off lol , now she stays out of the room. Im sure it was her way of saying , if you can have fun mummy so can I. |
I guess the dog gave you a headache lol Quote:
