Hi all!
 
I just joined this forum and am looking forward to chatting with you guys. I don't have a Yorkie yet but I'm hoping to get one in the near future. We currently have two cats which worries me a bit but hopefully the dog and cats will get along. I'd love to hear from anyone who has a Yorkie and cat(s) that get along.

I just join YorkieTalk this PM. I have two yorkies that love our outside cats and the cats like the "boys". When the cats get tired of the play they walk away.

If a puppy is raised with cats ,it should be fine they will teach him if he gets to rambunctious.Best of luck to you in your search.

Hi and welcome to YT!! I have a cat and they LOVE to play, although at first I thought they were fighting! I have a video posted called Roscoe and Ducky.... You can check that out and see how they play! They are crazy! Good luck on your search for your baby.

I have a cat and yorkies. The dogs like to chase the cat, and when the cat feels like it she will run. If she doesn't want to be chased she just ignores the charging dogs who will stop before they slam into her lol. I think you will be fine. I am new here too :)

Welcome to YT!!!! :) I have 2 cats too! But they are bigger than the Yorkies LOL, they don't bother them and they Yorkies don't bother them..well most of the time haha. But they are fine together. Mostly the Yorkies get so excited to see the cats, but the cats could care less.

I'm in MI too! Welcome again!

Yes I have 1 cat and two yorkie , 2 parrots my family calls it the zoo, and they play all the time, at least I think they're playing Lol:eek:
They the yorkie chased the cat and when the cat wants time out he runs into the laundry room, where he sleep , and the dog's knows thats off limit to them Lol:eek:

Many thanks for the warm words and helpful advice. I feel like I've come to the right place and am starting to believe that "home politics" will be OK with cats and an added Yorkie. Yay!!! :)

I just caught 2 of mine laying together :) Its taken with my phone because its all I had handy at the time.

Hello and welcome ! My lil guy singles out one of our 4 cats and drives her nuts ! When shes had enough, she lets him know ! They will adjust ! Good luck !

Hi there, and Welcome to YT :D I don't have cats anymore. However, I think that they would get along fine together, but I'd supervise them at all times .

I am also from MI! We just took a vacation over by Grand Haven! Stayed at Hoffmaster State Park! I loved that side of the state!
