I might agree with some opinions on breeding and I may disagree as well. But some people who try and sell good quality :pets", not show, at least love their dogs. This woman clearly does not even have a bit of love for the dog. To not want to pay a penny on her baby would constitute abuse and neglect and emotional and mental abuse all in a nutshell. Imagine how this dog is surviving with no love? Do your friend a favor. When she's not looking, take that pup and give it to someone on YT. Or offer to babysit and tell her she got out and ran away. She'll never have to worry about spending that ole penny again. And probably for the first time that baby would feel real love, not just little bumps in her belly all the time. How freakin sad this story makes me. |

[QUOTE=Mardelin;2734472]There is a website called infodog.com. It's a great site for obtaining show information. There are other dog show superintendents, I'm not familiar on who handles the east coast, but'll look into it. Anyway dog shows are a great place to learn about the breed, meet exhibitor/breeders. The two main ones that handle shows on the east coast is: Joy Jones Kenneth A. Sleeper P.O. We (my all-breed club) have special guests attend our monthly meetings and speak about all kinds of things related to dogs. We have had specialists speak about all kinds of health care, breeding, genetics, health problems, testing, etc... And.. you will meet other breeders and can learn a lot from them too, some of it priceless! You sound like you only breed the best quality. You have a lot to learn, but you can do it! Also I just wanted to mention that since your breeder sold you a pup at 8 weeks and the sire had coat issues - not the best to breed with. She should have asked all about the male before breeding to him. I would just love your girl as a pet and get her spayed and start over. |
thank you for your help I will start looking for a breed club right now |
