I maybe speaking out of turn, but it was agreed that since Alexandria, Virginia won the vote for the 2009 meetup that the 2010 meetup would be held somewhere on the West Coast. I have no idea who will comprise the 2010 Meetup Team or what exact location will be selected.

:D I have already started my 2010 Meetup fund -- I will be flying next year and who knows, little Emmitt may be the "chosen one". He is a great traveler and I promise to work a bit on socializing him so that he won't be a snapping turtle next year.

I thought Emmitt was just fine! He is so small he is probably just trying to protect himself.

We will have to fly to the 2010 meetup too and may have to come without the girls (flight would be really long from Buffalo). We had so much fun this year that we can't wait to see what is in store for next year!

I wonder if it will be on the West Coast next year. That is a far flight for me too, but I would be willing to do it!! Do you think its too far for Maddy to fly?

I live in Georgia and if there is any way possible, one of my kids will be accompanying me. Can't wait to see you on the West Coast in 2010!

Snapping turtle...ramming goat...same difference. :p Seriously, I laughed for half the night after I saw Emmit fly through the air to headbutt someone.

I'm starting my West Coast Meetup fund right now. :)

1. Need to start saving $, Christmas, Birthday and Income Tax set aside to meet Earl

2. Lose 60lbs

3. Train Sam to attack Ericka (the person that thinks Earl loves her)

4. Train Sam to love Earl (Cindy, Sam needs something with his scent:D)

I want to meet you I read your post all the time.

MeganS I remember when you first joined your mom gave you permission to get a yorkie and you were looking for one.

Chattiesmom your my furkids hero for making their favorite treats so all four kids want to meet you ( which reminds me I need to order some..lol)

Not to hyjak post but re Earl, how will you work on socializing? Our doggie is really skittish around people too and we'd love pointers on how to socialize him. Thanks

If I had enough money at the time, I think it'd be cool to fly me and the Jax-man out to Cali (I've always wanted to go there) but I'm thinking I won't have enough.

Who said California? Why not a beach location on the Oregon Coast, like Lincoln City or Cannon Beach? Or Seaside (but that is crazy crowded in the summer). We could have the meetup right on the beach, with a picnic during the day and a bonfire at night. We would love to try to come if it is within driving distance.

Hi Dands, Earl is Cindy's real kid. I have a huge online crush on him:D

Sam is very socialized, he goes tons of places BUT he does not like people to touch him, it has to be on his terms.

I would suggest taking him out to places that take dogs, even stores. Plus take him to the doggie park and even let him go to doggie daycare a couple days.
