Just like reg. children. All 5 of mine have different barks, whines, and growles. Me and My son both can tell who is doing what from any room in the house.

YUP!!! its a woman thing... lol my dad and my bf both cant tell whos who.... but i can tell which furbaby it is by the tone. they are both girls, sisters and same 11 wks old. and yes... same with my real skin baby. i could be in the other room and 10 babies crying i can tell ya which one it is. ;)

I can tell just by the clip clop of their feet in the kitchen! Definitely can tell by their bark. 99% of the time I can tell exactly who is doing what and where without looking.

Funny you mention about your skin kids crying. When I was little, I could tell by the sound of my mom's keys rattling when she would pick me up from daycare.

:D Glad this was posted. Just like others on here, I can tell by their bark, what they bark at, and the texture of their fur. I guess this Really does make us their mothers. (and I have 5) :thumbup:

I can tell which of our 3 is barking and I can usually tell what they want. DH thinks all barks mean they want to go outside. Which is usually a good guess since they love to go outside. But they tell me when they want a snack, if their water/food is low, if they want to play, if a toy is stuck someplace they can't reach, if their blanket isn't just to their liking, etc. Oh and Gracie Ruth tattles on the others. She definitely has a special bark that lets me know someone in another room is doing something they shouldn't. :rolleyes:

This was so cool for me to ask this! I knew I wasn't the only one! Thanks guys for all your expert ears as well-hubby still thinks we are all crazy that we can tell them apart. LOL

I can tell too! Roxie has a very petite girly bark LOL and Ryder starts out as a growl and works into a howl! Even when they wrestle and start their grunts I know who is who. Great post- it was fun reading the replies!
