4 months a 5.6 pounds!!!!!!!!! We went to the vet today for his last shot  is this normal???? I was surprise cause he does seem small to me |
If your vet wasn't alarmed then it must be his healthy weight as long as he still looks well proportioned. 5 lbs is still small. :) |

Fiona is 16 months old and weight 10.6 lbs! she is a bigger gal! more to love! ;) |
Well he has a lot more growing to do and will likely be over the 7 pound standard. I wouldn't consider it abnormal though. |

Hahaha dont you love that??? My last dog (a bichon) was SUPPOSED to be under 10 lbs... well we ended up wtih 20lbs of love instead. IM crossin for my babies to be 5lbs and less after the 20lber... ROFL |
Piper's 5 years old and 5 pounds, and he seems small to me. I think you'' be just fine. |
it seems like he is growing a pound a month. Is this how they grow??? |
My lil Shay is 4 1/2 months and is 1.7 pounds...wish he would get a lil meat on his bones so not be soo fragile... I dont know when they stop growing I would like to know that too. |
If I'm not mistaken I think they stop growing at about 8 months, but they could still "fill out" some more. Are you sure of his birthday? Maybe he is older than you think. My breeder is scatterbrained and said Uni was 8 weeks when she was actually 12. Also last vet visit the scale was wrong and we had to reweigh her. Either way, I think the bigger ones are more sturdy, don't have to always to the yorkie shuffle, you can walk like a normal person. LOL |
I like that Ranger is not a fragile little puppy. It seems like he has grown so much. It is better this way because I love just scooping him up and kissing him all over! |
