First of all, I'm up in NY and I think the only place taxed worse than us is CA so I sympathize with you all there! No way is that going to happen. This isn't about the animals, unfortunately. It's just like the cigarette tax (does everyone have that like here in NY) They make a ton of money off of it. Do they want people to quit smoking? No way! If people quit smoking where are they gonna get the money from the revenues they make? I guess they're going to go after pet owners to replace it. And if you think it's gonna stop here, think again. Everytime we give away a little bit of our freedom thinking it's no big deal it brings us a little closer to the kind of country that has no freedom at all. For me, that's not something I'm ready to give up.
