| ![]() It can be ok for pet purpose, but AKC is the only club who guarantee purebreed. My first yorkie was ACA, and I didn't know about clubs. I never breed him, but he was my baby. he pass away two years ago, and now I have two AKC yorkies. good luck!!!!!!!!!!

| ![]() AKC is not a guarantee of Health or Purebred status. They are only a record keeper who relies on the honesty of those who register through them. Paper can and are falsified all the time. The only thing AKC will do, is it there is a question about parentage they will DNA the parents and pups. If they don't match up they will pull the papers on the pups that were registered and suspend the breeder. Same with all registries it all depends on the honesty of the breeders to listing the correct parentage. The other registries do not require DNA testing. It's up to you to study the red flags to watch for and choose a reputable breeder to buy from. Listen to you gut feelings. If something doesn't feel right, it's best to walk away and look else where. |
