I used to make mine all the time when my kids were little. I used mason jars and a camping cooler to do it. I flavoured the yogurt with fresh fruit, instant pudding powder or jello powder.

It 's best to use plain organic with live cultures. I use Stoneyfield plain non-fat you can get at Walmart in the quart tub.

I understand not liking cooking (although I love it....) this really requires NO effort at all :p

I feel like I'm doing everything I can for her poor teeth and gums (she had periodontal disease when we adopted her :( but I see dramatic improvement with the daily yogurt feedings :thumbup:

We make our own vegan yogurt and it purely rocks! I never could eat regular dairy yogurt as a kid, it just ooged me out so I didn't think I'd like this either but it is BOMB DIGGITY!!! I've been making it with blackberries lately since I've found a great farmer with fresh ones. mmmm

i am going to start giving my baby yogurt whats the suggested amount of servings? and also i have seen yogurt drops would that be considered the same? im a whole foods shopper and i cant get Denzel to eat any fruit and i see some people add fruit so what if he doesnt eat the yogurt would it be best to buy the yogurt drops?

its looks easy but i dont have a crockpot...:(

I give Sugar about a quarter of a cup a day. I give it to her plain ~ no fruit~ but thats just because I've never TRIED giving it to her with fruit ;)

I don't really know anything about yogurt drops except that they are dehydrated yogurt. I assume the culture stays alive and active - not sure on that one.

Do you add your blackberries to the finished yogurt?

I LOVE LOVE making ssmoooothies with homemade yogurt! :D

Yep, I toss them in when we're going to eat it so they're fresh. We also make smoothies with them.
