My yorkie London can look alot like a Chi when her hair is cut super-short, but then looks totally Yorkie when her hair grows out.

If your pup was a true blue born pup, these links are very important for you to check out. I had a litter of pups where two were blue born and one normal. Both parents were spayed/neutered. I placed the pups in very loving homes that stay in contact with me. One was a vet tech and the other a stay at home mommy. Both have lost their hair, they are doing fine health wise, but mind you they are only 5 months old. Not all have problems, and not all have skin issues. Some keep their hair forever or start losing it at as late as 2 yrs old. Even some that lose their hair don't get the skin infections. So don't lose hope that your baby will have a happy and healthy life. But make sure you learn as much as you can about this recessive gene. And never breed your baby. You should also let the breeder know that she needs to spay and neuter the parents. It could be from one or both of them. Even the pups that she has born normal carry this gene.

Maybe he is a Chihuahua/yorkie mix but he sure is a cutie and is lucky to have a wonderful owner now. I have a feeling the breeder knew exactly the problems she was selling you and sugar coated it to the enth. Not all people are as nice as you and I wish you both much happiness together.

HE LOOKS LIKE THE SILVER YORKIE IN THIS BLOG. THE LADY I GOT HIM FROM IS NOT A BIG BREEDER AND WHEN I TOLD HER OF MY FINDINGS SHE FELT REALLY BAD AND TOLD ME SHE WAS NOT GOING TO BREED HER TWO ANY MORE AND EVEN OFFER TO TAKE BLAZE BACK. BUT THERE WAS NO WAY I WOULD DO THE LETTING HIM GO BACK, SICK OR NOT I HAD BOUNDED WITH HIM AND WE WILL WORK THREW THIS. THE LADY IS THE MOTHER OF A FRIEND OF MY SON. SHE IS A VERY GOOD PERSON AND SHE REALLY FELT BAD WHEN I TOLD HER HE WAS A SICK PUPPY AND NOT A RARE PUPPY. AND I DO HAVE TWO FEMALES BUT ONE IS TEN AND IS FIXED AND AT THE END OF THE MONTH I AM GETTING MY LITTLE BRANDIE FIXED SO MY LITTLE BLAZE WILL NOT BE BREEDING ANY FEMALES AND WILL NOT PASS THIS ON TO ANY OTHER YORKIES. I WOULD NEVER EVER DO ANYTHING LIKE THAT TO A BABY AND THE LADY I GOT HIM FROM WOULD NEVER HAVE DONE IT IF SHE WOULD HAVE EVER KNOW. IN FACT SHE REALLY THOUGHT HE WAS RARE AND SPECIAL RATHER THAN RARE AS IN SICK. BUT I DO THANK EVERY ONE FOR ALL THE IMFORMATION THAT WAS GIVEN AND I AM GOING TO CONTINUE TO LOOK INTO ANYTHING I CAN TO HELP MY LITTLE BLAZE AND MAKE HIM AS HAPPY AS HE CAN BE AND AS HAPPY AS HE IS RIGHT NOW...... Good luck with your lil guy. He is a cutie. I've seen born blue pups and he does fit the bill. However, I hope your breeder "placed" this pup with you and she/he didn't charge a fee. From time to time these pups are born. When it does happen the parents are usually spayed/nuetered. The breeder knowing that health problems and vet bills may be incurred will either keep the pup as a pet and/or place the pup in an approved home.
