:(:( So SAD!! Just wanted to let you all know that I am back to looking for a puppy. Got the bad news that my puppy died:cry: on Saturday from some bacteria infection. I have cried now for days. I just dont want to go on the hunt again, it took me 3 months to find this one. I just dont know if I can do it again!! :hands: |
Oh no!! I'm so sorry! Was your puppy still with the breeder? |
Im so sorry for your loss. What caused it? |
Oh..I'm so sorry for you! but please don't give up hope! your yorkie baby is out there waiting for you! A reputable, experienced, show breeder is the way to go..I got my perfect little girl from a great breeder..she is my little dream girl:wub:..stick around on here and do as much reading as possible..it will be well worth it in the end when you bring home that perfect, healthy, little bundle! Goodluck...and keep in touch!;) |
Yes, she was still at the breeder and I was to get her on Wednesday. She got some bacteria and she was just to small. I think that maybe she was weaning her to early, but not sure. By the time she came sick, I suggested to keep her for 2 more week with the mom and the breeder said that mom was dried up already. She was just over 9 weeks. |
aw I am so sorry! the same thing happened to me when I wanted to adopt Chachi's sister. two weeks before I was supposed to get her she died. I was disappointed and upset but I ended up getting a female from the breeders other litter. Best of luck puppy hunting |
I am so sorry for your loss. |
I'm so sorry give yourself some time then just see what's out ther. One will jump out at you when it's the right time and the right puppy. |
Im so sorry for your loss. |
Aw, I am so sorry. Poor little puppy. Did I understand you right that you were going to get this girl at 9 weeks? 12 weeks is more standard. Please keep us posted if begin to look again. I know this must be very sad for you. |
Yes, she would be about 10 weeks when I got her. I did not know how improtant it was for them to be more like 12, tell I joined here. I suggested to the breeder to keep her longer when I found out she was sick and that was when she told me that her mother was already dried up! I am not sure that she was a RP Breeder, I am going to take my time finding the next breeder/puppie!!! Kind of hard to find a breeder that does not have alot of other breeds!! I dont really want to ship one, I would like to see the parents and the place where the puppy is coming from!! Thanks for all your wonderfull thoughts!! |
I think you are right not to want one shipped to you. It's also a red flag if the breeder has a lot of other breeds there. If you are having trouble finding a good breeder, maybe someone in the regional forums can help you, or in the yorkies for sale. You can also contact the AKC yorkie club in your area and get a list of breeders. Have you considered getting a rescue? Is that her in your avatar? She is so cute. :( |
I am sorry for such a sad loss. PLEASE research your breeder well. I also was taken as I had no idead what I was doing when I went looking for my yorkie. I have only been on this site a couple months but I have learned an immense amount of information. You WILL find your sweet little fur baby!!!! and now you are armed with all the pertinent information you need to find a wonderful baby! Good Luck!!! Yorkies are worth the trouble to find the perfect one!:animal36 |

Do yourself a favor and buy a yorkie from a breeder that is not in that much of a hurry to rid her self of babies.. for those are not a breeder I would say was in it for the right reasons.. Keep looking and it will happen when it is the right time.. blieve that.. anne |
