ha I just remember Pixie never humped but my bothers dog used to hold her down and hump her... I used to have to take Pixie away from her... hahaha I know now why...she was more dominate. |
Poor little Uni hitting her head while humping! That picture is just too funny. I'm sorry your baby keeps humping inanimate objects. I'm no help here. Mine never did that. Addie is a year and four months and since I just got her spayed, I haven't noticed a change in behaviour. Well, she was mad at me for a day and didn't feel good, but she's pretty much back to normal now. I just have to watch and make sure she doesn't get too rough and hurt herself or tear out her sutures. |
I can't believe I never got a video of her humping and bumping before! That was with her old bed, at my old house, so don't think she'll be doing that again! As soon as I get the camera on she stops humping her toys. Don't know who'd be interested in watching her humping her toys anyways  |
Roxie has a favorite white bear that she humps. She humps it till she's pretty much standing on her head too! Never any other toy only that one. I had taken it away once due to a hole in it's foot. She never humped anything while it was put up. I fixed it and gave it back to her and she was back at it. She's never even had a heat, was spayed before it happened. I've heard it's a dominence thing too. My brothers little yorkie-poos are neutered and they hump too. Mostly when they play rough but they are boys so that didn't seem as odd as when Roxie was doing it. I've learned to accept it!! :D |

Our Scarlett does it too but her toy of choice makes it that much worse, its one of those loofah toys that looks like a long tube kind of, but its a hgue one like a foot and a half long, she LOVES it. However this behavior only started after we had a run in with our other dog that attacked her, (so bad that she had to be vetted and the other dog passed away, we think the other dag had been bitten by a racoon and was rabid as this was not normal behavior for them) SO she started this after that incident, so im almost certain its a dominance issue she wants to regain control. but with the loofah it just makes it look terrible. |
