Duncan IS a character I tell ya!!! He makes me laff all the time!! I wish I could loan Chris to you, she's a really good friend of ours and she has grown up with animals her entire life, so she really knows them and LOVES them! You can always fly her to Maryland!!! lol but you have to give her back!!! LOL

WAIT!!?? You mean there's life outside of my yorkies????? OMG! I was not informed of this!! Was there a memo?? LOL I can't tell you how many times I have dodged going out, or taking a trip bc I don't want to leave my dogs. Especially Duncan....he and I are joined at the hip.

Now there you go, that's the attitude :p

I wouldn't worry about it. It's all part of being in love with a yorkie. I don't think it's any substitute for children or a husband for I have 4 children and 1 husband already. We include Roxie into anything we can. Realisticly she can't do everything we do (dogs aren't allowed everywhere, or she'd be with us!) but when we're out doing things I do think of her and know when it's time to come home and let her out and be with her. Any responsible dog owner of any breed has to make sure the dog is taken care of when your not able to be there and if there is no one to do that for you then you have to change plans. Yorkies are such loyal, sweet, lovable dogs so how could you not feel the same way back?

I'm curious. Do you dress differently when you go to work? My first dog used to be thrilled when he saw me come out to the kitchen in my sox and jeans.:aimeeyork:aimeeyork:aimeeyork

I have always had big dogs, Shepards and Boxers, and they're wonderful companions, but since I have Brownie I realize that I was really missing something. Since Brownie came into my home, I realize that I really needed this little guy! He is truly a companion and the love is reciprocated! My granddaughter had a tiny Yorkie for 15 years and now has another. I knew after seeing how adorable and loving they are, I HAD to have one. Actually, it was meant to be...A family in Miami had him, but couldn't keep him and asked if could take him. I live in Venezuela, but I actually 'bought' him a plane ticket to come home and couldn't be happier with my bilingual baby.:aimeeyork

So cool, I have a friend from Peru and her furbaby is bilingual also. :)

My baby has turned my life around and yes I am far to attached but I LOVE him so much, he comes to work with me, sleeps with me, with me all the time nearly, but I do have to try and cut loose a little because when I try to go out without him he cries and barks, he's not bad if hubby is with him but I miss him when he's not with me, yesterday my daughter and I went shopping so we left all 3 dogs at her place and when we got back they gave us a nice greeting then carried on playing together so I think it's me that has more of a problem than him. Who cares really I'm happy he's mine.

Yes, I'm wearing slacks and a dress shirt/blouse and career type black shoes....it's not shorts, t-shirt and tennys or flip flops....She's very observant as to my attire :p

It is funny how they know. Laya goes to work with me so she knows my work clothes. If I have them on, she is at the door waiting. If I have on my regular weekend wear, she will just go lay down like "ok, see you when you get back". So weird how smart they are. :)

I am definitely obsessed with Thor! The only thing I wonder about is travel... I can't imagine leaving him for even two weeks, and I still feel like one day I'd like to take a two month trek though Asia or something like that. I couldn't take Thor with me, though. :(

I know what you mean. That is one of my biggest problems. Laya will be seven in october and I have never left her overnight. I know it sounds crazy, but if she can\'t go I just don\'t go. I know my friends and family get annoyed because I turn down a lot of vacation opportunities, but she is my baby. I haven\'t found anyone that I trust leaving her with.
