Can someone in this area check with Animal Control. |

I found this and have no idea if it ever passed: Good Dog Owners vs. Bad Dog Laws: Warren, Michigan Dog Owners- ALERT! If not there is no limit. Here are the laws that all dog owners have to abide by: Macomb County Michigan : Health Department: animal It is under Regulations Governing Animal Control. So if dogs aren't current on rabies or if they are being neglected, then legal action can be taken. |

Unless someone goes there and reports neglect, there is really nothing that can be done. |

Just checking to see if any of the members that lived nearby this woman did indeed go and see the dogs and the conditions. At this point, it may be the best place to start. Then we can get a better idea of what we can do or what needs to be done. |
It is nice to see everyone TRYING to work together. The bottom line is our love for Yorkies ALL yorkies. It seems there is enough willing volutneers to help here and Angelworks and Fldebra you seem to have some great ideas. Lets not just talk about this LETS DO SOMETHING. It would be great to proceed further but I personally dont know where to start......What can I do? What can we do? Are we gonna rescue this little girl? Do we just need money? I am home everyday by 3pm and have the free time (at least till the puppies are born) to help out. I feel sooo helpless and I want to help her in anyway I can. Is there anyone that wants to guide those of us that are clueless as to what we can do? |
3 lbs and pregnant HI, I saw her listing today and then found this forum. Does anyone seem to think that this 3 pounder is not a full yorkie? Seems like the hair is just too curly. Part poodle maybe. Anyways, I live within 15 minutes of Warren. I sure would not put out that kind of money, but would be willing to help in whatever I could do to retrieve dog. I have 2, 3 pounders of my own which is surely wouldn't breed. I have previous experience welping dogs, although larger breeds. If someone really wants to get this dog and comes up with funds from somewhere I can help you. |
I agree with the previous posters that not a dime should be exchanged with this woman. My heart is breaking for these animals, but I have a feeling this is not nor will it be this person's first or last go round. It appears that her treatment of her animals may be congruent with abuse and cruelty. Breeding an animal despite very obvious and perceivable risks sure seems like cruelty and abuse to me. I think our best bet is to contact the Michigan Humane Society and clue them in on the situation. Furthermore, she continues to change her story. They were bred on purpose, they weren't, I need money for furniture, I need it for a car.... |

This is the reason that I tried to tell everyone to stay off of that horrible Kijii site. These people are scumbags and all they are looking for is your money. There are so many rescues that would love to have a few more good foster homes to take in pups to save their lives. Every day there are dogs dying in shelters and all they need is a good loving home. I wish everyone that is so up in arms about this scam would take a step back and look at the bigger picture of how to help and save more yorkies in need. If YHR was given $1200 we would all be in tears because they number of dogs that would be saved and the vet bills that could be paid would be amazing! We have been asking people for change for donations to help the YHR pups. We make it our goal never to turn dogs away but without enough foster homes what else can be done. Adopt a rescue, donate to a rescue, don't shop in pet shops, all of these things will help. But paying some crack whore $1200 is insane! Please let this thread die and do not give this woman any of your money. :thumbdown:thumbdown:thumbdown:thumbdown |
I would also like to add that if she is not able to sell this little girl and she does need a c section she will most likely dump her either at the vet or shelter. I think we need to keep this in mind, stay one step ahead and be proactive and not reactive to this situation. If we could find out the vets name we could alert him that we would be willing to pay a vet bill if he would take the dog into his care and surrender to a rescue. We could also do this with the local shelter but I think she would go to the vet if she ran into problems during the whelping. This should be our stance. |
