How Do You Store Your Dog's Clothes?
 
I've been looking around for doggie closets - even looked at doll closets, but they are all so tiny (most are only about 23" high). I need to find some sort of storage that has a hanging area, and possibly areas for toys, supplies, etc. We have lots of stuff! Does anyone have any pictures of their dog's closet? I was thinking about getting those plastic bins and making my own, but I really need a hanging area too. Any suggestions?

Presently my girls clothes are stored in a Victoria's Secret's gift box but, here's what I've had my eye on for storage:

Wrought Iron Clothing Wardrobe

I think it's adorable & the price seems reasonable, too! The price of the hangers is high but, I've also seen those for a better price...just can't remember where right now!

Oh that is nice! I may end up with this one if I can't find anything else. Thanks! I'm still looking into the homemade options, but I'll probably need too many pieces to put together. With five yorkies, you end up with a lot of stuff!

Oh Believe me I understand....With my two and I feel that I need a bigger place already...They have so many things and of course I do like to keep their custom made clothes neat.

I also have an ottoman bench and I have clothes in there as well as their blankies:p

Here's picture of the spot I made, and his clothing is hanging from a double towel rod, with folded clothing in a plastic storage bin. He's a boy, he doesn't need much space! :D

Wow! These are adorable! Uni's stuff is in a white trash bag in the corner of my closet! LOL! No wonder I can never find her stuff!

What about hangers for baby clothes they are kind of little.

I had to search to find this but knew it was one of my favorite closet ideas and didn't know if Ladymom would post on this new thread.

It looks like it would hold more clothes than the doggie wardrobes and is a reasonable price.

I like everyone's ideas! right now shelby rae has one area of our closet.(we have a closet the size of a bedroom) but my hubby is going to build her her own closet so I can decorate it for her...I like the idea of 2 drawers instead of one because it would fill up too fast...what do you guys use to store your bows? I want him to build in a small flat drawer for bows too.

That is great! I never thought of using a towel rod. Great idea!

I am glad you reposted this! I wanted to ask you if you used a grooming arm? If not then how do you keep your Joey from not jumping off the table? And is it hard not to hve both hands free when you groom?

Actually my grooming arm is a little dryer stand that I didn't like that much. I've been using it to train him to stand while I'm brushing him, otherwise he lies down, and it's harder to brush. It' s working, he will stand now, while being brushed, even with out using it.

I'm right there in front of him, there is no way he could jump. He's trained pretty well to not jump, even from the couch or bed; if there are no steps; he knows to stay. This grooming area is for just daily grooming – topknots and brushing, things of that nature. For his weekly grooming and hair trims, I still take him to the kitchen, and he gets his bath in the kitchen sink. I'm usually holding him with one hand, while I'm trimming him with the other. I never leave him on the counter unsupervised.

I was just curious how it works out . Because I really liked your setup! And it is so much more cost effective . I know you would never leave Joey unsupervised. I was just wondering how hard it would be to groom without the grooming arm.
Joey must be a super great Yorkie, and very patient. I'd be scared to death that Suzi would try to get away from me on a table, then hurt herself. She does this when I sit on the couch just to for brushing.

I have a regular full size armoir that has drawers on one side and hanging on the other. It works great- I don't have to bend over and everything is right in front of you. You can usually pick these up at used furniture stores that are easy to paint and just the right size:p

I have this one: PetEdge: Pet Studio Soho Wardrobes I have to put it together tho...been sitting in the box for awhile.:D Mimi & Momo's clothes are in clear storage bags (like the ones that come w/blankets) in my closet.

I bought this a little while back. We have a his and her side and in the middle we have 4 pull out cubbies that have all their toys inside. It works great. :) They sell them at Target and you can design it how you want because they are each designed separately. Then I added the closet pole to hang clothes. :D They come in two colors the dark and a lighter color.

Also it has enough room to have two poles inside I just have yet to do it.

I bought it at Home Depot and the sales person cut it to exact measurements. :) It was only a few bucks with the pole and the things you hang it off of.

I love it cause it matches your house and doesn't look so much like a doggie closet.
