Picking Up New Puppy Today , Excited :) Today is the big day! My son, brother, and I are going to Fresno and picking up our new baby ! It seems like we have waited forever for this day! but, it really has been less then a week. I came down with the flu on Thurs. and was so sick, that I could not get her on Sat. I posted pic. of her last week, however the breeder calls , on Friday telling me sold me the wrong pup ;( the one she gave me to hold and fall in love with had already been chosen:( I was too sick to get upset. And did see all her babies, they all looked pretty close to being a like. The pic. of that puppy is not even the one I have . So I do not even know yet which female is mine! The breeder had all the litter with these collars on that were numbered. i know mistakes happen. However I can't help but be disappointed. I am sure I'll love this other puppy too. I will need to post pic. of her , and the other puppy to see if there really is a big difference in apperance ! hope Suzi is going to be able to handle this new baby. she is only 2lbs ! and a Shih tzu |
Wow this is exciting, I am sure you will fall head over heals for the new puppy, now she will just be more of a surprise. I can't wait to see pictures of her when you get her. Have you thought of any names yet?:) Oh, and I bet Suzi will do good with the new pup. Some times it takes a few days to get used to the idea of a new one, and one that is smaller than them. I think that was the hardest part for Copper was figuring out how to play with a tiny fiesty pup. Congradulations on getting your new girl, I am really so excited for you:D |

We finally made it home :) our new baby is the second to the smallest of the litter. the runt was still born. As soon as the breeder gave me her I could tell there was a difference, just by the size of our new baby's head. My camera battery is dead! but, is charging ! As soon as it's done there will be pictures ! Suzi was very curious about the new puppy, but the the baby started to cry. Suzi looks huge compared to her. ANd when the pup tried to walk , Suzi would not let her :eek: Then, Suzi started eating the pup's food. :p this is going to be harder then I thought! I finally separated the two. As soon as I did the new pup started to run around. I hated to do that! We are leaning on naming her Miley. My groomer has already seen her for a min and thought Autumn was a perfect name for her. SHe has those fall colors. She is a beauty. Any advice on how to handle my excited little Suzi girl with a tiny new pup? help! They are both beautiful dogs, but, Suzi is just extremely excited around her, and it is scaring the crap out of the new baby . |

Excitement is an understatement :D:D:D New puppy has decided Suzi;s food tastes sooooo mmuch better then what the breeder had her on! Man, i wasted my $$$$ . The breeder had her on S.D. so I bought a brand new bag .... Suzi starts eating that stuff, and then a couple hrs. later New pup, miley, eats her food , :p New pup has good taste! The food Suzi eats is so much higher quality! Suzi is still all over little miley. Not in a bad way, just very curious of this precious new baby. Wants to play with her, it is hilarous. Camera still is not ready :( I am def. going to take pictures. Miley managed to stepped in Suzi's water bowl. ooops I can't believe Suzi is letteting Miley eat her food ! I think they are going to be a great match! :thumbup: |

First night with new baby Miley> She is a very good pup. I selpt on the couch, Suzi slept on the couch and Miley had her new bed ,She alspt half on the bed half off. I woke up to find miley with a toy in her mouth stitting there right next to me looking at me. Then I talked to her, and she stood up on her hind legs to say hI:p She is a little doll. She has been eating well, sometimes, Suzi's kibble, and Suzi is eating her's . Suzi makes me nervous though. Because she runs after her, which is not a concern, but, Now Suzi is pawing at her> I do n ot know why, what does this mean in doggie language? Miley has walks with a proud strut ! THen from the back of her you see her little wadlle butt , it is adorable. I do think Suzi is being real nice to the new baby, she just does not know what to think ! MIley is the name my son chose for her, I can already call her , and she comes running ! Anther absolutely adorable thing happend this AM. Suzi always give me kissess every day. Well little Miley saw this , and then proceeded to kiss my face too. Miley is already grabbing my socks , and shaking them. :D |
For mine, pawing is their way of saying "Let's play"! The entertainment usually starts right up once they do this. It's really cute! |

Congrats!!! I am so excited for you. My baby is almost 5 months old now and growing before my eyes. It feels like yesterday where I was so nervous and anxcious to pick him up!! |

But Shih tzu pups .I nearly got one before when trying to decide what breed to choose from before bringing homw Suzi last year . I was extremely surprised they were not yorkie's , but still happy they were a breed that I adore. It was a little communication error. however, it worked out well. I am so pleased with this little one. She is a busy puppy, with such a sweet temperment. |
