Good for you!!! I am glad you found the girls and went and confronted them. Heavens if they act rude with you close by, what would they do in your absence. Now they know if they cross any boundaries with you, there will be consequences. You sound like a very kind person. Don't feel bad for sticking up for what is right. If more people stood up for what is right, this world would be a better place. No one should be that rude. Good job for calling them on it!:thumbup: |

You were absolutely right in what you did. I would have done the same thing. The kids today are not held accountable for their actions, and think they can do anything they want to and get away with it. My question is are golf carts allowed on the road where you live? Up here in Maine to drive on the road you need to have plates on the vehicle, and a current registration. So I would have also called the cops, as they were driving illegally on the road. And as for Leigh22 and mybabe88 I think they are my long lost children LOL. They sound like they know how it should be. Their mom's should be proud of them. |
I agree that you did the right thing. If you hadn't gone and had a little chat with these girls they would have thought it was great they got away with something. I don't think it's all kids I think it starts with the parents. There are good kids because of the way they've been raised. There are bad spoiled rotten kids who think they can do what they want when they want and get away with it. Usually those kids come from the my kids can't do anything wrong and turn a blind eye to anything that might be going on kinds of parents. Or just plain never there with the attitudes of out of sight out of mind. I would have went straight to the parents too. I would hope that if any of my kids ever acted like that someone would let me know. But they would also have limits with a golf cart and not allowed running around terrorizing peoples neighborhoods. By confronting them maybe they won't dare come near your house anymore!! Glad your ok and your baby. |

I agree that you did the right thing. I'd also advise my neighbors with pets of what they tried to do so they could be careful with their pets too. I'd definitely try to find out who their parents are just in case anything of that sort happened in the neighborhood. And your call to the police gave them a heads up, which could turn out to be important information at a future date. |

im 23 and i would never try to run someones pet over! I would have run her face over with my fist. good job standing up for your baby! i called the cops when i caught some boys trying to steal my pitbull right out of my yard and they were both arrested! :D |

Update I just wanted to post an update: I have not seen those girls on my street or anywhere in the neighborhood for that matter. I guess they decided to cool it with the golf cart for a while. |

I would have ripped her a new one and went to her house and tell her parents how responsible she was being with their golf cart. I swear crap like that just makes you want to slap the taste out of someone's mouth. He should have jumped up and bit her. |
