Sorry if this is catty, but, I hope you use spell-check. :p |

OP -- Are we talking self-published books? I think most people are going to want more info before giving any information. |
no to post on here thought it would be fun didn't know there were people like some |
I'm really not trying to be rude but are you asking us to give you material for a book you intend to publish? |

I am sorry op but Ive had a crap day and this made my sides split:lol tears |
What are the two books you have authored? Please give us the title and publisher? So, you intend to publish something here on the forum? I am not sure I understand. The whole forum is a conglomeration of all of our stories and reasons why we think Yorkies are the best breed in the world. That is sort of what the forum is all about. There are many years worth of stories here already. Your post is very vague as to your request and intentions. How do you intend to tell the world? You say you are "putting together some material." That suggests a project of some sort. Then you say "to post on here?" You are also very new to the forum so it is normal to ask questions when you make a request like this. |
my books are romance. i thought it would be cool to put a bunch of self written by owners special thougths about their yorkie, why they love them so much, what special things they do, what are your special moments each day with your yorkie, anything that could bring a smile to someones face. If someone comes and is thinking about getting a yorkie I thought this would be a neat thing for them to read, all the wonderful people's thoughts . Maybe a bad idea, I just thought other Yorkie owners were as proud as I am and wanted to share maybe not. |

I think we are already doing it lol |
I would rather see a book about people and their dogs in general. I have 10 living with me right now and can tell you a bunch of stories..mostly how they keep me from going crazy. Yorkies are a WONDERFUL breed. Not all people area able to afford them. But if someone were to tell stories about all dogs, especially pound puppies, maybe, just maybe we would have more people getting pound puppies and not a mess like the 101 dals. **sorry..just my 2 cents that is prolly only worth 1 cent!!**:p |

So you did want us to give you material for a book. As YorkieMad stated, Yorkietalk beat you to it. Of course it isn't a book but anyone doing research on Yorkies will run into this forum, that's how we get many of our members. I believe more ppl wanting info on the breed will look on-line these days than those who will go out and buy a book. Our love for our babies is well-stated on every page of this forum and there are more stories than a library could hold. Just add yours to ours. We would love to hear about your baby. |

Someday I will do that. It is a dream of mine. Not to make money so much but to share the joy of all different animals. |
angelof7, I think that is a marvelous idea! Good luck pulling together the stories. I will try to think of something, and I'll let you know. |
oh! I DO have a story for you.... My sister gave Edie a stuffed squeaky toy called the "postal plaything". It basically a stuffed postman doll. You can still buy them at PetSmart, I think. Edie loves her squeaky toys, and she knows them by name. I would always tell her to "go get the mailman" and she would return with that toy. One Saturday our mail delivery was late. I said to my husband, "I wonder where the mailman is???". A few seconds later, i heard a squeak by my feet. Edie had fetched her "postal plaything" and brought him to me! "Here's the mailman, Mama!" she was thinking. She is a smart little bugger. |
I smell a fish... |
I think you all are being too suspicious....What's wrong with writing a book and soliciting stories. It happens all the time. Since I am not planning my own book of Yorkie stories, I have no problem sharing... |

I think it's the way she/he presented the idea that just doesn't sit right (with others too based on their answer). I think a little more professionalism is in tow. You can't just go into a forum and claim certain things with not much details AND grammar errors! After all she/he's asking for material to publish a book that will gain her money....no? Or is the book for free? I can't answer that now can I since he/she NEVER said. Heck while we're at it...I'm a famous artist and Michael Angelo has nothing on me  I just never told you guys cos I didn't think y'all would believe me :p |
Well, I hope she/he does make $$ on a book. If it is a scam, which I doubt, what have I lost? |

Please, if you are going to be suspicious, that's fine. Just be polite about it.:):) |

You are free to share all the stories you want - as was already pointed out, that is what happens on YT. I just would hate to think someone would turn other people's posts into a book without their permission or knowledge - and yes, I know she did not say that she would do that. I'm very trusting too - but I have learned a few things online |
I believe in trust but I do not believe in blind trust. That is why I asked her what the name and publisher of her books were. No answer was forthcoming. No wait, she did give a very vague, "my books are romance" answer. So, she read my questions, but either could not or would not answer. I was trying to keep an open mind even though the writing in her posts does not really reflect literary expertise. All we really have to go on is how and what a person writes. I can't really take one without the other. I usually click on the "show other posts from this member" button and read through a few. That gives me an idea of how and what they write. Then I have more to decide whether or not to have trust in what they are saying. I hope others did the same with me when I was new. We are way past the age of blind trust. I am not sure if she is writing a book or not. The first post seems to insinuate that when she says, "I'm putting together some material and I am a author (sic) with two published books. " The post title itself, saying, "Do you want the world to know..." seems to suggest some wider circulation. But then she writes, "no to post on here..." after I actually was asking if her two books were self-published. Not sure if she misunderstood or what, but it seems to be answering she does not plan to put our stories in a book. |
Did You get your 5 week old puppy? I feel so sad for your 1 year old that you tried to breed. Thats just too young..Good Luck with your book... |
She might have problems using spell-check because of the pop-up blocker. If I don't remember to turn it off, I lose the message. |
so funny and cute aww he sounds very smart :) |
