My Bella is the same way too! She barks when she is playing with her toys sometimes, but it's more of a growl when she is going after a toy. She used to bark a looott when I used to leave her, but now she stopped, thank goodness!! I hope it stays this way too! We are trying to teach her to bark when she has to go outside, but it's taking a little while. She just goes to the door instead! But I love the fact that she doesn't bark much at all! |
Sugar never barked either.....now I am (successfully) training her with a can and pennies! My sweetie is a quick study :D |
Hi all.. Well it seems that they are all so different aren't they...all my other Yorkies barked such a lot from a very early age and always cried and whimpered at night as well. This pup "Dustie" has been so good right from day one...went straight in his cage and slept through and is still doing this now. ....goes in there when he wants and comes out when he want to. He eats very well too..and is getting to learn basic commands as well. Still having a bit of bother with the nipping etc. I keep telling him "Stop" which I think is getting through...but if it wasn't for this he would be perfect. Guess I couldn't have it all my own way could I folks...:) Taking him on his first Hols in a weeks time so that should be fun..Help!!!! Chrisann.xx |
Lucky You..... |
don't worry he will find his voice. Charlie was super quiet. Now he barks like crazy. Wish he was quiet again. |
Noelle isn't a big barker. She didn't bark for months and now she only barks when someone is coming to the door and she doesn't recognize their footsteps. |
Suzi did not bark at all as a puppy. Now she barks ! Most of the time it is when she hears something unfamilar, not just to talk! I am certain your baby will soon be barking too!:aimeeyork |
JoJo is 9 1/2 months old and just recently started barking, but not often. He only does his loud bark when I leave the house. When someone's at the door he starts off with a low growl that turns into a short low bark. I think it's so cute lol. Oh, and he also does a teeny-tiny bark when he wants something. That's my favorite. :) |
Enjoy it!! Lucky you! Twinkle isn't really a barker (unless someone knocks on the door) so I wasn't prepared for Wicket who found his voice very quickly and hasn't stopped since! I swear the only time he doesn't bark is when he's asleep or eating:rolleyes: It's a really shrill piercing bark too, more of a yap really. I started using the coins in a can, but the sound absolutely terrifies my mastiff who has now taken to cowering whenever she sees it. So not too sure what to do now! xx xxx |
