LOST Yorkie
Wednesday, May 20, 2009
Name: Debbo Age: 2 years old Breed: Yorkshire Terrier Weight: 5.0 lbs
Last seen: Sunday - May 17, 2009 at 4:30pm at Vasona Park in Los Gatos wearing a red harness. We were getting ready to leave and others saw Debbo playing with other kids and family. People at the park said they left with this family and we hope and pray to GOD! That the family who has Debbo will do the right thing and call and give him back to the rightful owners. He is part of our family and has been very loved and missed dearly.
Please help us find our precious dog Debbo!
their contact number is on the link above.

Has the OP been back on here at all? Without going back through all the posts, I don't recall him/her coming back on her for any kind of update... or did I miss it?

I think it is possible that the owners aren't looking. Like the yorkie who showed up on someone's doorstep a few months ago, and it turned out that it belonged to an older woman with dementia who had gone to a nursing home.

The OP gave us an update yesterday and it sounds like she is doing all she can.

To the OP - it's possible his breath is bad because he still has some baby teeth holding on. If you end up keeping him, you will want to get those removed.

Thank you again for taking care of this little guy, and please keep us posted. :)

I think with a yorkie the odds are more that someone IS looking and IS heartbroken.

Absolutely I hope she does everything to find the owner, and it sounds like she is. It's been heartbreaking to see what some people have gone through when their yorkies went missing. I just wanted to point out that it is possible that the owners aren't around. Anything could have happened; this yorkie could have been stolen from another state and then let loose near the OP. Bottom line, she is taking care of the dog, and that is what is most important. I'm sure the owners would be / will be grateful to know that.

I thought the OP said she was in L.A??? Los Gatos is no where near LA. They are at minimum, an 8 hour drive and probably further depending on where in LA she is. Just wondering, I may be confused but I thought I read that.

Hi Nick, I've been so worried for your little debbo since I saw the flyer. I just wanted to let you know you are in my thoughts and I'm keeping an eye out for the little guy.

Any updates????? Was the owner found????

Jemma 06-01-2009 01:51 AM

Her zip code shows HACIENDA HEIGHTS, CA. I don't know if it helps as far as the distance. Are you fairly close to her?
We have all been following this thread and we hope you find him. Hopefully she'll log on soon.

I spoke with Nick yesterday and the little guy I found is not his yorkie. I followed up on all of the craigslist postings and none of them are a match. I know it may seem hard to believe, but I really don't think his owners are looking for him. Like I mentioned earlier, the procedure for finding a lost dog in los angeles county is pretty straight forward. I'm still checking CL everyday to see if someone posts anything for him. I am also looking out for posters in the neighborhood where I found him.

He is adjusting nicely. He is not nearly as depressed as he was when I found him. He is eating and going to the bathroom regularly. As much as I like the little guy, I was not planning on a dog. I am very unsure of myself as a dog owner, which is the reason that I never bought a yorkie for myself. I understand and respect all of the time and attention it takes to raise a pup in a good and healthy environment. I am so afraid to make things worse for him.

I'm not sure at what point I am supposed to give up looking for his owner. I'm trying to do the right thing, but I just don't think his owners are looking for him.

Once again, thank you for the kind words.

PS - for some reason, my posts take a very long time to be posted, but rest assured that I intend to update you caring people as much as possible.
