Yorkie Stairs for ~$28.99 at Target Hey all, Since some of you may be interested in stairs for your Yorkie, (for easy access to the couch, bed, etc.) you may want to check out the kids storage department at your local Target. I was there just browsing the aisles, and they have these small storage units for about $29 or so that would make PERFECT stairs for a Yorkie. They really are built like stairs, have two steps, and the top opens up for actual storage. Nice. They aren't "officially" for a Yorkie but actually for children. However, they are the perfect size/width to do the job. My local target had them in two colors, white and a natural wood color. They are finished with a gloss that looks nice too. They don't have soft fabric on the top of each step, but that would be so simple to get at a fabric store and simply use a staple gun under each stair to adhere any fabric pattern you wish. I checked their website, and unfortunately I didn't see it online for a full picture/description. I just wanted to pass along this info in case any of you are headed to Target in the near future. Check out the children's storage area. Since I seem to be at target all the time, I'll look into getting the exact price/make/model of the unit in case anyone is interested. Good luck! |
Thanks Mike! They obviously don't beat your custom stairs for Otis, but this is a nice find! I may have to check it out, since uhh, Yoda's steps are still in two big pieces of wood. Heheheh |
Thanks Mike!!! We will be checking at Target!!! Toto isn't getting any taller!!!! ;) |
:) What I found really ncie about these stairs is that they double as storage units. Oops, that was something I left out of my design. hehe |
<stomping my foot like a little brat> I WANT THESE STAIRS! HIGGINS NEEDS 'EM! But we don't have a Target here in Maine! I'll just have to wait until we're on the road...... |

Nice bettyeanne! You beat the technologically minded MikeM and me and found the link! :) Looks like the white one has a drawer for the lower shelf and the oak color one doesn't... I still need to get over to Target! |
Wow...what a great internet dectective you are! Those are the stairs! I wanted to get a set, but the one I wanted was all scratched up. |
Thank you so much!! I need some stairs for my little Mignon and those sound perfect!! I will be going to Target this week! |
Great information....we're kind of used to the upside down laundry basket with the towel over it for traction.... It's kind of grown on us ....but is Oh So Tacky looking ...I may have to check out the Target down the street Thanks for this !! |
ok i must be an idiot cuz I don't see what your guys are talking about in the link above. what do these look like or can someone send me a picture of it. thanks |
2 Attachment(s) I just happen to have these things! I got them for my son a year ago or so from....you guessed it....Target! :) I have no idea what they cost then, but here's the pics of them. Oh yeah, nevermind the hinge on this set, cuz my son pushed the top back too far and stripped the hinged top plumb off of the stool/steps. I had to rig it with a new hinge to get the top to stay on. :) |
good find maybe i can start teaching her to use the toilet instead of the pads since shell be able to get up there ;) |
That is funny Jackr32! Those are neat steps and you can store things in them as well, has two uses! ummm |
