To the OP, I hope you can find great homes for your pups. :) |
Puppy pricing shouldn't matter, as long as a dog has a good loving home, that's whats more important. Just because someone pays more money than some else it doesn't mean they will love or care for there dog anymore than the other person.:) The most important thing here is that the puppies go to good kind people and that they will loved. |
I understand where you are coming from and would not bash you -- but I still think quality Yorkies are a luxury. I think everyone should be able to have a dog. I don't think everyone should be able to have a Yorkie. Not that yorkies are a mere possession like a car but it is sort of like we may all need a car but some will buy a Ford Focus, some will buy a Cadillac and some will buy a Mercedes. They should not all be priced the same just because everyone deserves a car. You get what you can afford. I know lots of people that can't afford or do not want to spend the higher prices still want Yorkies. That is why so many of the unscrupulous breeders wound up cutting corners to be able to offer cheap yorkies. It hurt the breed a LOT! You wind up seeing yorkies that look nowhere near the standard. You also wind up with mother dogs abused and puppies neglected. But the price is low. so because you think that because someone cant afford to spend thousands of dollars on a yorkie that they shouldnt own one?? |

I just think some people are trying to say " you get what you pay for" I got my Laci from a BYB because I didnt know any better, I love her and wouldnt trade her for he world ,however in hindsight I would research more and go to a better breeder who has had tests done ect.. I got what I paid for.. NO shots, and ear infection no papers:eek::eek: I dont know her history, I dont know of her parents I paid 950.00, first month vet fee's 500.00 2 times back for the ear infection and 2 different medicines, then kennel cough, more money for scripts and more money for vet appts.. so I got what I paid for, for a few hundred more I could have gotten a dog from a reputable breeder, I love her anyways but in the long run it probally will and has cost me more money!!!! Anything is possible "Reputable Breeder" or not... My last dog... a Bichon Frise we had bought from one of the "Reputable Breeders" and a month after purhcasing, AKC pulled her from the list... So our AKC price we paid was worthless. Jasmine then could not be registered. We had bought her in the prospect of at least getting one litter from her (so we could keep her puppies as she grew older) but then that was shot as well when she became VERY ill and we almost lost her at 4 years old. She had to have her whole uterus out. After MANY drs visits... more then one operations... LOTS of dr bills (we loved her so much) it was just more of a headache and now we are a little cautious spending even 2k for a puppy (reputable breeder or not) SO! I dunno what the answer is... ;) |

I think what many don't understand when they purchase a puppy is that they will grow to love this puppy more than they ever thought possible, and even if you can afford the bills, seeing a little one go through all the surgeries and treatment is heartbreaking. |
If they can't afford 300 them they can't care for the dog right. I been there and heard it all over the years. all you can hope for is you babies get good homes. |
I wished I knew about your babies. =/ My little Miso is a tad lonely and needs a new baby siter. |
To the OP...it sounds like you are a great pet owner! I wish I was not across the country or I would love to buy one of your babies. $300 is a great price don't let anyone talk you down! I do hope you consider having them spayed/neutered before you rehome them though, even if you add the amount of the surgery onto the asking price it is still a great deal. I got my little girl from Craigslist from a lady who rescued her, she received a lot of inquireys about the puppy but she said it weeded out a ton of people once they learned she was spayed, it the end, there were only two of is wanting her. Selling puppies for such a cheap price is great because not all loving homes are affluent ones of course but it does target people wanting to make an easy buck (not that breeding is easy...). Another thing you can do since you are selling for such a low price is ask to see receipts of items spent on the puppy for up to whatever amount you require as part of "payment". Good luck to you! |

I find this post "DISPICABLE" the nerve of you to say such things:mad: Totally uncalled for. That means most of the yorkies on YT are worthless? Shame on you! |
