I lived in an apartment once and the landlord let me have the dog, but I couldn't use the yard. Duh! I just took my baby for more walks and she did just fine. Good luck. |
Hooray for you and Layla's new place! We have a yard, but never use it because (a) it is not fenced (b) there are foxes and (c) there are hawks. As long as Layla gets plenty of exercise through walks and playing indoors, you both should be very happy in the new condo. Is there a deck? Have you thought about doggy-proofing the deck maybe with netting around the edges? These yorkies somehow manage to squeeze through the teensiest spaces. Good luck with the move! Let us know if you need help with moving...I will be happy to watch doggy while you are packing and lifting all the boxes. :p |
congrats!! Congrats on your new place! We are moving out of the condo we are in which is 532sq ft!!! To a 870 sq ft...so we will have a little bigger place. but peanut has been with us in that tiny tiny little place with no front yard and hardly a patio and he has done fine. I do take him out on his walks and let him run around in the grass in front of my door!! You said you will put the pad on the patio when you are at work? BECARFULL of creepy hawks or anything that can eat your furbaby!! But other than that yorkies are fine for condo living =) |

We live in Manhattan and Lola is doing wonderfully. She loves running around the apartment and gets her exercise by running from room to room trying to find us. We take her for walks outside, but we also have a rooftop deck that we can take her to when it rains or snows, since she refuses to pee or go outside when it rains. She gets very excited getting into the elevator too. If you have the room, it will be fine! Congrats on buying your condo!!! |
