I've seen them for up to $10,000!! I paid a lot more than anyone on this thread paid for their dog but I do live in So. California.

We only paid $350 for our little Maggie, but she has a small hernia which we will get repaired when we have her spayed. Her littermates went for quite a bit more. She was the last one the breeder had and you could say we were just 'drawn' to her... she needed us! :)

I paid 950.00, no papers..

I paid 1,600 for perrito and 1,000 for jasmin if i'm not mistaken both of them have papers but I don't really care about it, they have puppies now that I going to sell (after that i'm done, no more puppies) and I'm thinking to charge $700 for them but i'm not doing their papers, what yo people think?

Lacey was $900 and AKC registered. The love she's given us already is priceless.

Dante will not have papers either, it really makes no difference to me, I will love him no matter what :)

In Alberta I have paid I think... $900, $1200 and $1600. The more I spent I did see better health, quality, guarantee, papers ..... Raising puppies properly, showing and health testing are not cheap. The size also had nothing to do with the price, the smallest were the least expensive, not important to me I just wanted healthy standard yorkies.

I just got my little girl AKC for $700

Mine are between $1,000 and $2,000.

I hope you didn't take it that I was saying that if you pay fro $400-800 you are getting a sick puppy. I am simply saying in the LA area lately puppies that are being sold for a lower price usually have something wrong. I don't think that you do have to pay a big price to get a healthy yorkie, but each area is different. When the average yorkie in a certain area is one price and you find one that is too good to be true, you definately need to do your homework to insure that this pup is healthy and someone isn't trying to pull a fast one on you. I have seen to many people posting on other sites that they need help with money and vet care because the puppy came to them sick. Of course any dog can get sick...but in this area this seems to be the case. When I got my first yorkie my cousin kept telling me I was crazy, but I knew my breeder I knew she had the parents tested and the pups were very well cared for and I knew that was what I was paying for. She ended up finding a lady that wanted $400 for a pup and the poor thing had parvo and died a few days later. Recently my sisters co-worker bought a pup for $500 and it turns out she already had a shunt and has dished out tons of money trying to save the poor pup. Many times you can look on CL and find a few people in that same situation.
I know that in different areas that you can find quality yorkie pups for a cheaper price, but in this area this is what I have noticed.:D

I am from Orange county California, and bought Uni in hacienda heights (LA county) fairly upscale higher middle class area. I paid $1200 for Uni at 12 weeks, with shots up to 12 weeks with microchip. She is ACA registered, but in my opinion if they are not AKC, their registry doesn't really mean anything.

I got my First one in New Brunswick and paid $600(no papers) and got my second one once i moved to ALberta and paid $1000 (no papers as well). What are the papers for anyways?? why do those matter??
