She is just plain Jealous!! Too bad she can not share in your love for yorkies, but some people would rather be rude, then to say Wow!! you have a spectacular Yorkie here. I think he is Just gorgeous!!:)

Don't let this upset you, I come across this all the time, especially at work.
Ive put it down to ignorance ,and yes sometimes jealousy.If these people were to look on this forum and see the pics and read our stories they will then see just how lucky we are.
Anyway I don't need those sort of people in my life, Id choose you guys every time.:D

First of all your little Louis is beautiful. I also love the name since it's my DH and DS's names! Unless there is a riff between you and your sil I'm not sure it's worth starting a war over. You love your baby and that's all that matters. You don't have to see your sil everyday I'm assuming so if that's the case be thankful for that. The one thing I don't understand about people is why can't they get the sex right after you have informed them if it's a boy or girl? My Dad also likes to make the rat comments about Roxie, but he's never been much of an animal lover. I let it slide because I know he really does like her. I always catch him looking at her and paying attention to her. I just smile when I catch him. The older he gets the harder it is for him to hide things esp. emotion!! I love it!

i just dont know why people open their mouths if they have nothing nice to say. your baby is beautiful and dont let anyone tell you different.

Do they pronounce it as Louis or Louie? We pronounce it Louie, but spell it Louis after Louis Vuitton! I think the name totally fits my Louis. Your Roxie is beautiful too.

As an IN-LAW I would think she would be more careful choosing her words.
People like that aren't worth knowing or worrying about. Don't fret or waste your time. I wouldn't, at least after those comments. Louis is adorable and you know it and so do we. What Yorkie isn't? Sounds like the green eyed
monster is envious. I do think she owes you an appoligy.

I know how you feel;) Pixie & me get it all the time wherever we go and it can be infuriating and frustrating. On a recent holiday I took Pixie everywhere with me and on one particular day she was called a rat no less than 4 times!:mad: I was very calm & controlled and carried on walking very proudly with my nose in the air..probably annoys them more than anything..in the past I have been less controlled and let it get to me..i'm learning how to deal with these idiots now.;)
On the other hand she gets alot of positive attention too..people stop me all the time to ask about her and say how pretty & cute she is, so its not all bad i guess!:D

my relatives had said that about Tucker too, but he isnt full bred yorkie and he sometimes does look a little ratty..lol.. I really dont care though, I just roll my eyes and say well someone got to love the ugly ones too. :)

aww thanks so much..he has crazy hair that makes him look "ratty" I was hoping that as he got older that it would of straigtend out some but its wavy :confused: and kind of sticks up all over the place..lol. Anyways I keep him shaved down so it doesnt get out of control too much. :animal36

Hint: Louie when he's a good boy and Louis when he's not!

He is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!

Just bring this thread up the next time she visits and leave the room!

She doesn't know didley about Yorkies (or Rats!). She should have paid more attention in Kindergarden!

I would buy her Yorkie books for Christmas!
