| new puppy & older yorkie (5yrs) relationship Hi~ We just adoped our beautiful Eva Bell last friday. I was wondering how your other yorkie got along with the new puppy if you have more than one. Titus keeps barking at the puppy . The puppy trots up to him and offers a lick and Titus just barks and runs away. What should I do? The puppy sleeps in bed with us and Titus doesn't want to be near her on the bed. When Titus tried to get on the bed she trots up to him wagging her tail and he barks at her jumps off the bed and runs under it. Will they eventually get along. Titus is use to having another dog around, we just lost our Lab 2 months ago and I though he would be overjoyed with a playmate. Also, we have been feeding them in the same area of the kitchen at different times. The puppy isn't eating much, so I put their plates in separate parts of the kitchen. They don't eat the same food either, Titus is finacky and I have to feed him homemade food, I really don't want to do this for the puppy because the food I have her on from the breeders in wonderful and she gobbled it up there. The puppy keeps drinking from Titus water bowl, not her own. I would love anyones feedback |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Welcome and congratulations. I have 3 yorkies and lost my 12 year old pom a few months ago. Each time I brought in a new puppy the older ones tend to be wary of the new one and watch the puppy closely and don't want them to play with their toys but after a week or so they are all getting along. Mine still have times where they fight but will then go snuggle up together. Just give them time to work it out under your supervision. I do feed them all together so they learn to respect each others space. Hang in there will get better!
