| Could I be so lucky? It seems as if Bogey is potty trained already!!! We are paper training him in the bathroom (we are 3rd floor apt, just seems logical) and so I take him in there at certain times and tell him "go potty" the whole routine. If he goes, he gets a treat if not, we try again later. We have had a few accidents since tuesday but yesterday morning when we got up, I took him in the bathroom and told him to potty, he peed and I gave him his treat. A few minutes later as I'm fixing my coffee, I hear the fresh paper being rattled in the bathroom so I go in there thinking the little guy was shredding it for fun, nope...he walked himself in there and had pooped on the paper. I gave him a treat and tons of praise but just chalked it up as a fluke, lastnight he walked in there and did both, then barked to alert me so I went in, praise/treat and switched out the paper and we went to bed. This morning I took him in there straight away and he did both on the paper without hesitating. I'm starting to think he's just one really quick pup! Yay for Bogey. |

| You could indeed be so lucky. He's smart, & your positive attitude reinforces his learning. Of course, the treats help too . How old is Bogey?

| Bogey is 9 weeks old. We brought him home tuesday so he's been here a little shy of a week. He's a little familiar with us b/c his mama is my friends dog and so we would go over and visit them and I'd help her with feedings and such every few weeks from birth to 8 weeks, not much but y'know the bit of exposure to us he's had I'm thinking really helped with the transition. Plus I spoil him lol he already has his spot in the bed and only gets kenneled when I leave on an errand he can't join me for or if he's in the car with us. I'm sure that helped, having the run of a place tends to make you happy there. =) |

♥Tiny Tia my Furbaby♥ Donating Member | I dont think its luck, you should take some credit. Tia only made 3 mishaps indoors (all wee wees) and one of those was my fault by not spotting the signs quick enough.A big well done to YOU and BOGEY.
