| 3 pounds to 7 pounds in 8 wks Oh my... i took Mia to the vet today for her 2nd dose of puppy shots. She gained 4 pounds in 8 weeks. She wasn't sopposed to get over 6-7 pounds. The vet thinks she will be 10-12 pounds. Oh well... I still love her....But is that normal?

| it happens more than you'd think. Breeder "guess" by how big the parents are but the genetics of the growth of a puppy can go back generations. She might level off soon and stop growing but it depends on how old she is. |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Nolee kinda went through the same thing. He was not supposed to be no more than 7 lbs. He is 2 now and weighs 9 -10 lbs. and I love every ounce of him! I am sure you are the same! LOL!

| Jackson weighed in at 6lbs at his 12 week appointment. At 16 weeks, he hopped to 8.6 pounds. He's now 13lbs at almost 7 months old. I love the size he is and would prefer it, actually! He's skinny though, believe it or not, and he's perfectly healthy! His parents were 7 1/2 and 8 pounds.
