i got toby something called a 'twisty' today from a natural/holistic pet place. i think its a twisted looking tendon thing. anyway, he LOVES it, just wondering if its ok for him to have as long as he wants or if i should limit how long he chews on it...

I am not sure! I let Nolee chew on it as long as he wants. Now Nolee is 2. Hopefully someone here can help you!

hmmm he is only 10 weeks, but its nice b/c he's actually teething/chewing on something he is SUPPOSED to!!

oh DEFINATELY when i'm watching, i'm such a worried first time yorkie mom, i'd be scared the second i wasn't he would choke. but like tonight when i watch tv for a couple hours or whatever, if he wants it he can keep it?

Is he stripping little slivers off it and eating them...or just chewing on the end? If it's disappearing down his tummy, I think I'd only let him have it for an hour or so at a time...

I am curious what the chew toy is? could you take a picture and post the chew bone?

he's not getting slivers... it just kinda gets mushy. i asked the lady if it was a choking danger and she said it wasn't... hang on a sec and i'll post a picture...

If it's just getting mushy, I wouldn't worry as long as you're watching him. My Zoey is a little over a year, 4.25 lbs, and rips slivers off her bully bones and eats them. I keep an eagle eye on her, let me tell you...just in case she might choke. These bullies are digestible, but I'm paranoid...what can I say, lol?

the woman said it was fully digestable. he is going nuts for this thing!!

It looks to me like a bully stick, iv'e seen them sold this way at Petsmart... and they are safe... However, i'd still supervise at all times especially because of his very young age.
What an adorable baby he is. He is so cute .

Thank you for sharing his picture along with his new chew bone.

thank you!! i wish his ears would stay up the way they are in the picture, but as soon as he isn't looking up they flop back down

I have no clue about the chew toy but I had to say how CUTE he is!!! Melts my heart!

The secret to his ears standing up is to have them shaved .... All of his hair on them make it too heavy for them to stand up all the time> The older he becomes, the more hair he will have growing on his ears, however he is way too young to take to a groomers right now. Yeah, that looks like a twisted bully stick. If you're interested, AMD sells them here. Super cheap and non-stinky. They're in the Yorkie Products for Sale forum. I bought some, and they're great. You'll find, as he grows, he'll go through them like you wouldn't believe.
