Some people enrage me So, I went and picked up Yoda yesterday from the vet and he was like a brand new pup! He was wonderful running, playin, and even barking to get attention. Everything was great! We woke up at 5 this morning and he was fine and ate a lil bit, went potty and right back to bed. 8:30 this morning, he was nearly gone again, just absolutely lifeless. I had to call the vet at home and he met me at the office and admitted him again. I called the dreaded store where I got him, which I will give them kudos cuz they paid the first bill. I told them I had a bill from yesterday and now I will have another for him being admitted. He was rescued from a mill and came to me with parvo and we go through this nightmare every other day!! So, get this one..................she says instead of me paying all these bills I will just give you another yorkie that we have and you can do as you please with him! Are these people KIDDING me?!? I have 1 sick yorkie, and they want to pawn another one off on me cuz they know I can't resist to take care of them! I just don't know what I am going to do! On a lighter note, I went to a bookstore today and bought YORKSHIRE TERRIERS for DUMMIES. It was to funny for me to resist but really is informative! |
That's awful. :( I wish you luck! |
Thank you! This has been a absolute nightmare!! I have had two other perfectly healthy yorkies, never ever a problem. This one is giving me sleepless nights!:( |
How horrible, they think you will just stop caring that this one is sick if they give you another one. I don't get it. |
OMG,you need to report these people to someone!! I wish you the best with your baby! |

OMG! ... Some people just don't get it ... all they care about is the money. That's like saying you could trade one Child for another. |

Ok here I go again ...I am confused you said you got him at a "the dreaded store" then you said he is a rescue from a puppy mill. Was it a yorkie rescue you got him from or a pet store? Sorry I am easily confused and just trying to understand lol. So sorry either way that you and the little guy are going through all this. |
My first 2 bassets got parvo its very contagious...Hopefully you don't have other young ones there (puppies) ...The vet didn't have mch good about it the firsst one got it first ...I used alot of pepo pesma and pedilite sometimes I had to look hard just to see her breathe...when she got alittle better I started blending some of there dog food and give it to them in a syringe also water the same way she was doing good then the other got it had to do the same then she did good....Then the first got it back cause the sec one when she had it did the same stufff over poor things....But they made it my first I believe why she was smaller is because she got it twiced But after all that they were healthy...Your house will have to be very clean like shampooing it doing alot of stuff like that and then u have to cross fingers ...My sister dogs wolves she had got it and they were in a kennle and the vet aid they will have to burn the ground and it can still be there in a year ...I hope everything goes will Barb:animal-pa |

I'm confused. Did the "dreaded store" "rescue him from a puppymill" and then, sell him to you? I've never heard of stores selling puppies rescued from a puppymill. (But nothing would surprise me these days.) I see you are in IL, what is the name of the store? I am so sorry Yoda is so sick. Does you Vet know what is worng with him? |
I'm so sorry to hear that Yoda is sick again! :( How awful to be going through so much. A thought did come to me, could there be something in your house that's causing him to keep getting sick? I know Parvo can stay around for a long time and that special measures need to be taken to "clean it up". Could it be that he's getting re-infected somehow? I've seen threads on YT talking about how a home needs to be cleaned, perhaps someone could give some input about this. I sure hope they figure out what's going on with you little guy and I have no words that can be posted about the way I feel towards the pet store. |
Gosh, Im so sorry you are having to go thru this with your new baby. I cant believe the store will just hand one over like its a loaf of bread. I probably would take it just to get it out of their hands.... |

I should have been more clear yesterday, it was just a horrible day. The dreaded store is a puppy mill! |
I'm so sorry yoda is down again. Have you heard from your vet on how he's doing now? ((((((((HUGS)))))))))) You're both in my thoughts and prayers. |

Oh, Rachel, Hon, that's ok. Of course it was a horrible day!!! I think you should insist they pay his Vet bills! Threaten them with a lawyer! I just feel so bad for you and Yoda. I really pray your Vet will be able to figure out what, exactly is wrong with him, and get him well. These people are crazy offering to give you another dog! They should be helping you take care of Yoda! Sheila |
Well, let's hope that the third time is the charm with Mr. Yoda! I am getting ready to leave to go get him again. This time, the vet wanted to keep him another 2 days, but I already have $1000.00 bill and really can't afford much more. So he is coming home on a 4 hour schedule and I am just hoping for the best! |

I'll light a candle at mass tomorrow morning for him. Sheila |
Thats soo awful!!! awww poor baby Yoda! :( I pray he gets healthy soon! So they are idiots, but what are you going to do? Take another baby and pay for Yoda on your own? or keep giving them the bills? I am not sure what I'd do. I wouldn't want them to have any more babies. Sounds like a bad situation all around! |
I think they set a prescident by paying the first bill, if it goes to court you would probably win. I'd ask they to pay the bill. |

And NO, you are not taking another sick puppy from those horrible people!!!! You are not a bad Mommy, you are an excellent Mommy!!! You are taking such good care of Yoda! I think you should contact your attorney. Hugs, Sheila |

I am feeding him by syringe every 4 hours along with the nutri cal every 2. I just don't understand why this has been so horrible. I guess just the same as having a child, love just isn't enough sometimes!:( |

Sheila, I want to thank you for being so supportive. I just love this lil guy to pieces and it is killing me watching him be so miserable!:( Everyone here is very supportive and have given me so many helpful ideas. |
This is horrible!!! I hope Yoda gets better!! Stick through it! |
:mad::mad:They should pay whatever bills Yoda incurs PLUS give you that other poor puppy thats in their grasps, and pay for that pup's medical bills as well. Oh yeah, they should pay you as well for pain, suffering, gas to and from vet and whatever else you can come up with! This is absurd! |
Maybe it is me but I am totally confused.......so I went and looked back through some of your other posts to try and figure out where Yoda came from...............now I am even more confused. You said that he came from a bad breeder and that he had parvo, you also said that you were getting a sister on May 15th. In this thread you are saying he came from a Pet store. ??????? First and foremost, PARVO is highly contagious and I hope you are not planning to add an additional puppy on May 15th! Please do not consider this as she will most likely get PARVO as well. It can live for a very long time (any one with how long??) even after Yoda has been cured. You also said that Yoda is a mill rescue...............are you saying that you purchased him from a pet store that gets puppies from a mill and you bought him because you wanted to same him????? Or does this pet store sell mill rescue puppies????? Finally, you said that the pet store wants to give you a new puppy. Do they want to take back Yoda and give you a puppy or just give you a second puppy for free???? I understand that you would not give him back which is good because he would be euthanized or left for dead if you were to give him back at this point. I am glad that you are taking care of him. Did the vet explain to you how to disinfect your home to kill the PARVO virus? I believe this is very important step in making Yoda well. If you bring him home and reuse the puppy toys, blankets, bedding etc that he used while he had PARVO I do believe that he can get it back. You need to sanitize your entire home to kill the virus and there is also a length of time before adding any new animals to your home to keep them safe as well. |
