Awwww I had to read to catch up with what is going on with Yoda....So sorry for all that you are going thru!!!!! Looks like you already got excellent advice......and I agree with others....I would NOT take another puppy...from that horrible place.......that has been exposed to Parvo...or already has it....

How wonderful of Shiela to offer to take care of Princess Laya until its safe to come home!!!!!

You and your babies are in my thoughts!!!!! :)

Thank you for your kind words. You know, I just checked the google map, and Rachel lives a half hour from my son and daughter-in-law.

I am praying hard for Rachel and little Yoda. I am so tired of these pet stores treating animals like they are replaceable & taking advantage of people.

I'd say more about those horrible people but I have mass in the morning. ;)

Yoda is sick and Rachels heart is breaking. And it just makes me furious!

In my lifetime, I want to see an end to puppy-mills.

I would be happy to help Rachel. She lives half an hour from my son and his family, so it wouldn't be a bad trip to go down and meet Rachel and get Princess Laya and take her back when Rachel is ready for her.

We're all Yorkie lovers her, we have to help each other in times of need.

I just feel so bad that she is going through this heartache and I am praying Yoda will be well very quickly.

I guess the bigger question is were is the breeder located? It sounds like she should be very careful even to come into contact with the new puppy. From what I understand about parvo is that is can be on your shoes, clothing, in the air and all the puppy needs to do is come into contact with the droplets. I think I would be worried about bringing the puppy into the car that Yoda has been going back and forth to the vet visits in~it is probalby all o ver the interior of her car as well. Maybe I am being overly cautious but parvo is not something to mess around with.

I think Rachel should let all of us know what the name of the Pet Shop that she bought Yoda from is and were it is located. This is too crazy if you ask me!

Dee's Pets in Marion, IL. She claims they are her "babies" well, I have 2 boys and Yoda and none of the 3 of them stay in cages 24 hours a day. There is about 25 of them there! :(:(

I just got home from mass and coffee. I told my friends about Yoda, and they are keeping him, and you, in their prayers, as well.

I hope he is doing well today and you have gotten some rest.

I could be wrong but isn't it illegal to breed dogs IN A PETSTORE? 25 yorkies being bred? Am I reading this wrong? I think a different license would be required. There is a pet store license that allows the store to sell pups, but I do not think it is duel in that it also allows the same owner to breed in the store and sell her stock. In order to sell to a pet store you have to have a USDA License. Does she have one of these too?

Hi, Jodi.

That is a very good point. I suspect Princess Laya's breeder, will be able to advise Rachel on how to handle bringing her home. Perhaps she will want someone else to pick her up, and not take any chances with transmitting the Parvo.

I am sure since she is a reputable breeder, she will be extremely cautious in making sure the puppy is not exposed to this deadly virus.

I am glad everyone is being so supportive of Rachel. This is extremely stressful.

I was praying to return from mass and read some good news.

Sheila, it is obviously a very smaill world..........I used to work at BC/BS myself. Last night was very successful!! We got as much rest as possible! He's doing good today!

Oh, my goodness, when did you leave BCBS? My son, Eric, and his wife, Jennifer have been there since 1998.

They started as "temps" and then, were hired fulltime, and now, both are in management.

I am so happy to hear that last night was successful, and you got some rest, and that little Yoda is doing well today!

I used to know a lady from national wolfhound rescue, showed at westminster. She told me about a thing called PARVAID, she swore by it and I've seen it on line, its all natural I think, maybe you should check it out. I give all my furkids Esther-C the one from wal-mart. It helped my dog with allergies, and its great for arthritis.

i lost kimi to parvo, i got her also from a store..and they denied she was sick and we even called them to warn them for her brother and sister..i had her for 5 heavenly days before she passed away..goodluck with your puppy..i know its hard..

Oh, I am so sorry. That is just heartbreaking.

Honestly, these people that work in pet stores have no heart or compassion, whatsoever.
