I keep my girl on the shortish side. It is so much easier! And she plays like a maniac so it suits her very well.:)

I just had Yogi cut and for the same reasons that you are thinking of. It gets very hot here and we go for daily walks. Yogi's has enough hair for a pack of Yorkies, and he will be miserable this summer if it's not cut. But he has beautiful hair and I don't know if I will ever be able to let it grow out long again because of the heat. But the cut looks great on him and he must even like it because he's been strutting around here like he's hot stuff! :cool:

As beautiful as it is and as much as I'd like it long, he will be much happier with it short. And really, that's what it's all about, right?

I had Lisa cut it in a 1 1/2" puppy cut on his body, left his legs a little longer and just shortened his beard and mustache so that it matched.

i really dont like my baby with short hair till i saw this cut. its gorgeous :D:thumbup:

Rachel, I asked Lisa to cut it to 1 1/2" long and to sort of layer it top to bottom so that it wasn't all one length. This way it flows nicely and it isn't real short on the bottom. It's not really like a skirt, but it hangs down just a little to give him some...err...modesty by covering up his man bits. :embarasse :p I also left the top knot hair, which I think works well on his head and just had the beard and mustache shortened and cut in a curve instead of a straight boxy look. And the feet, the feet are the most important part. :D Love a little longer length on the legs and the feet done trim and neat. Please feel free to print out his picture and use it with your groomer if you'd like.

Wow I really love the look of this cut! I love the long hair but this is very cute!! Your Yogi is so adorable!

I've kept Lola's hair pretty short because it's just so much easier to manage (and she looks so darn cute!). FYI, If you can find a groomer that works with yorkies a lot you're much more likely to get a good result (I learned that the hard way!).

Hi

One of you had a harness that really looked good for a small dog.

It was in one of the pictures of yorkie hair cuts, but I can't find it now.

It is an anti pull harness....

If you know what I mean please answer this.

Chearlotte is at the groomed right now getting her summer hairdo. I can't wait to pick her up after work! I know she's going to look funny since I've never seen her with anything but long hair. She's going to look so little too, she's only 3.6 lbs as it is. I'll post pictures when I can.
